You Are A God-Carrier

(Read Matthew 10:11-15)

 

This morning we continue our series, “Grace that is Simply Amazing” by continuing our mini-series entitled, “Grace Based Success (Prosperity)”.  We have been studying the life of the Apostle Peter.  Our study has brought us to Matthew 10.  It took us a few weeks to get through the first 10 verses.  Today we will look at verses 11-15.  The Bible says:

 

Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.  As you enter the home, give it your greeting.  If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.  If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.  Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

 

So what does this mean to you today?  Let’s get into it.

 

  1.  Jesus wanted the disciples to value the God in them.  He was sending them on a mission, to perform the supernatural by God grace, and He expected them to value the God they were carrying.

 

  1.  You are a carrier of God’s anointing.  God trusts you to speak peace and blessings over those who openly welcome and receive you.  When you do, trust that your words are backed up by God’s supernatural power.

 

  1.  When you are sharing the love of God with the lost and they reject you, don’t take the rejection personally.  They are actually rejecting God and God will see to it that they reap what they sow.  Lashing back at those who last back at you is not your job.  Leave them in God’s hands.  Vengeance and recompense belong to God.

 

  1.  Everyone is not going to accept you when you stand for God.  That’s okay.  You have to be more concerned with God’s acceptance than the acceptance of this world.

 

  1.  To excel and succeed in Christ you must become a God-pleaser and not a man-pleaser.  Men rejected Jesus, so they will certainly reject you.

 

  1.  When you get a revelation of the fact that you are a God-carrier and that His blessing rests upon your life, you will see yourself different; you will see yourself as “good ground” and you won’t be uncomfortable with divine favor.

 

  1.  When people receive you because of the anointing on your life, they position themselves to benefit from that anointing.  See yourself as valuable (because God lives in you), and honor the anointing on your life enough to allow others to be a blessing to you.  Receive the blessing and speak blessings over them.

 

  1.  Many Christians reject kindness from others as a supposed form of humility.  But divine humility honors the God in yourself enough to accept favor and blessings, knowing it is God’s will.

 

Closing Confession:   Father, I thank You for teaching me about Your grace and my requirement to live by faith.  Your grace is on my life for supernatural success.  Your grace is on my life for divine favor and increase.  You send me into the world to make a difference.  You release me into the to world to become a conduit of Your love, light and power.  You have anointed me for such a time as this.  This is my season.  This is my time.  Your hand is upon me to leave a mark in this world that will never be erased.  Some will receive me and some will reject me.  Those who receive me, I speak blessings over.  Those who reject me, I leave them in Your hands, because I know they are rejecting You and not me.  Because You live in me, I see myself valuable enough to receive favor and blessings.  I honor You enough to receive everything You want to do for me.  I don’t reject the blessing as some form of false humility.  I am humble enough to receive all You want to do IN, WITH and THROUGH me, because I am a carrier of God!  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
