God Loved The World

by Rick

Today we continue our series entitled, “God Loves You”, under the overall theme for the year of, “Supernatural Manifestation.”  Last week we started looking at John 3:16.  Let’s go back to it this morning.

The Apostle John said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).  Today I want to focus in on the fact that God loved the entire world.

So what does this mean to you today?  A few things.

  1.  The Bible says that God loved the world, so He gave His only begotten Son.  The English word translated “world” in John 3:16 is the Greek word kosmos.  This word means: the circle of the earth; the entire earth; the inhabitants of the earth; all men; the human family.  I share this because I want to make it clear that no one was left out.  When God sent Jesus to die for us, it was because He loved everyone, everywhere.  Guess what?  This is the way we are supposed to love as well.

  1.  The message that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered, bled, died, rose from the dead with all power in His hands, ascended into heaven, and will come back again in glory to judge the living and the dead, IS THE GOSPEL!  This is the Good News!  Jesus died for all people.  Our sin has been paid for.  Our debt has been settled.  Our transgression has been handled.  And the Bible tells us that this GOSPEL message must be preached to the entire world (Mat 24:14).  The English word translated “world” in Matthew 24:14 is the Greek word ethnos.  This word means: race, people group, nation, nations.  The message that God loves everyone must go to everywhere.  This is part of our charter as believers.

  1.  God loved the kosmos (everyone on the planet, the entire world), that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us.  He now wants this message of His love and sacrifice to go out to every ethnos (every race, people group and nation on the planet).

  1.  God did not segment off His love.  He loved everyone, everywhere.  Jesus died for the entire world.  God now expects us to share this message of His love with all people, in every nation; not just those who look like us.

  1.  Our God sent His Son to die for all people.  He did this because He loves us.  His love is now IN us.  We are supposed to love the same way.

  1.  God loved the word (every person in every nation), so as His children, we are supposed to love the world.  We will not win the lost for Jesus by winning an argument.  We must win the lost for Jesus by drawing them in with His love.

  1.  God looked past your hang-ups, because He loved you enough to do so.  He now expects you to look past the hang-ups of others, simply because you love them.

  1.  The day you start loving like God loves, is the day you will start living like God lives, and the supernatural power of God will be made available to you.

Closing Confession:  Father, this is a year of Great Victory for me.  I will experience Your power like never before, because I am embracing Your love like never before. You loved everyone, everywhere.  Your love now lives IN me.  Therefore I declare, that I love everyone, everywhere.  I love like You love.  I live like You live.  Your love in me, helps me to release every blessing-blocker.  Now that I fully embrace Your love, You can fully release Your power.  The supernatural will now be natural to me, because I walk in Your love every day of my life!  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
