It’s Already Done (Pt. 17)

by Rick

Today we continue our new series entitled, “It’s already done!”, under the banner of the overall series for the year,  “Supernatural Manifestation.”  A few of weeks ago I introduced you to the following passage.  Let’s go back to it today.

In the opening paragraph of the Apostle Peter’s second letter, he said:

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

(2 Peter 1:1-4)

Today I will continue to focus in on this statement: “through the knowledge of him that hath called us.”

So what does this mean to you today?  A few things.

  1.  When Peter told us that “God has already given us all things that pertain to life and godliness… though the knowledge of Him who has called us”, he was not referring to your knowledge of who God is, but rather God’s knowledge of who you are!  When you come into the knowledge of what God believes about you, you are then equipped to know what He already prepared.  You discover what He already stored up for your success.  You come into the knowledge of what God believes is already yours!  The issue then is, do you believe it?

  1.  In the Old Testament the focus was on man (human performance), and it was about man’s effort to strive to attain.  In the New Testament the focus is on God (divine performance), and on what He has already attained for us.

  1.  The Old Testament was about what humans needed.  The New Testament is about what God has already provided.  This is why you must come into the knowledge of all God has given you for your divine assignment.  He has already provided all things that pertain to life and godliness.

  1.  The journey of the New Testament is a journey of discovering and believing.  You must discover what God reveals, and once you do, you then have to get to the point where you believe it.  The goal is to believe what God believes about you.

  1.  God’s plans for you us are so big, and His provision is so far beyond what we often see ourselves receiving, that the struggle we must overcome in order to fulfill our purpose, is the struggle to believe what God believes about us.

  1.  In April of this year we hit the 10 year milestone for Rick and Isabella Pina Ministries.  Just a few days ago, on December 1st, we hit the 20 year milestone for Today’s Word.  20 years ago, when I was first licensed to preach the Gospel, God told me to put His Word in people’s email inboxes.  Back then I had no idea that Today’s Word would grow to what it is now, reaching people all over the world daily and impacting their lives through the Word of God.  10 years ago, when God told my wife and I to officially launch our ministry, I had no idea that we would be doing what we do now, doing international ministry and missions.  The truth is, all these things were already in God’s plans.  All these things, and many more, were already provided.  The struggle was not on God’s part.  God did not have to do anything.  He was already done.  The struggle was on my part.  I had to get to the point where I could believe what God believes about me.  Even now, Isabella and I are justing getting started on what God has called us to do.  Our future is not ahead of us.  It is WITHIN US!  God has already given us ALL THINGS that pertain to life and Godliness.  What we must do, is believe what God believes about us.  And guess what?  The same can be said for you!

*** My prayer is that you slow down long enough to hear the voice of God concerning all He has called you to do.  And that you expand your capacity to believe God to the point where you truly believe what God believes about you!

Closing Confession:  Father, this is a year of Great Victory for me.  I don’t say this based on my performance.  I don’t say this based on my desires.  I simply declare what You have already decreed.  I am who You say I am.  I can and will do what I was born to do.  Not because I am so good.  But because You are.  And because I believe what You believe about me!  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
