This morning I will do something different. Instead of continuing with our current series, I feel led to go a different way. Yesterday my Pastor, Cynthia Brazelton, preached a power message about the Importance of Our Words. I have done a great deal of teaching on this topic. I have three different series on the Today’s Word website (www.todaysword.org) related to the power of words. What I will do today is simply share a few of the nuggets I received from Pastor Cynthia’s message yesterday. Here they are:
1. We are not just mere men, we are Supernatural beings and we are called to manifest the Supernatural in the earth.
2. God has called you to manifest heaven in the earth. Do not allow not circumstances to distract or stop you. You are SuperNatural!
3. Words carry weight. God has put His Spirit and His Word IN you, and He has taught you, through His Word and His Spirit, to only speak what you desire to come to pass. Why? Because they Bible is clear that good or bad, up or down, victory or defeat, you will have what you SAY!
4. Just like you can get cancer from second-hand-smoke, you can get infected and affected by second-hand-words. Watch what people say AROUND you!
5. The enemy is trying to create an atmosphere, with words, to defeat your life. However, God has given you the power to set your own atmosphere by speaking life!
6. You may get a negative doctor’s report, but you don’t have to receive it. As a child of God you have the opportunity to seek Him and receive His report. Which report will you believe? As believers we are called to believe and receive the report of the LORD!
7. In Numbers 30 we learn that when someone speaks something over you, if you do not say anything about it, you are bound by what they said!
8. In Genesis, 11 times God said something, and 11 times God saw what He said. Everything God created, He created by SAYING! Never underestimate the power of your words.
9. When you rule your tongue and you force your words to come in alignment with the life God destined you to have, your words will help create the life you were born to live.
10. No other being on this planet is a speaking spirit like God. We get to speak words like God spoke words, to experience His power.
11. You can shape, or reshape, your life with your words. If you don’t like what you are SEEING, change what you are SAYING!
I will do something a little different with the closing confession today. I always base the confessions on scripture, but this morning I have provided the scripture references. Enjoy.
Closing Confession: Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Your Son, my Lord. I declare by faith that I have been redeemed from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13). I am established in protection, preservation, prosperity, soundness, healing, deliverance and the ministry of angels. I will not fear. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against me, You will condemn, for it is my heritage (Is 54:17).
You are my very present help in the time of trouble (Ps 46:1). When I call, You answer me and deliver me and I glorify You (Ps 50:15). You never leave me nor forsake me (Heb 13:5). You are my refuge and my fortress and I trust in You and You alone. You keep me safe from secret traps and deadly diseases. You spread Your wings over me to keep me secure. You faithfulness protects me like a city wall. No evil ever comes near my dwelling, and I live a long and satisfying life (Ps 91).
Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest over my confession, and what I confess is the Word of God concerning favor over my life (Heb 3:1). You help me to guard the door of my mouth and train me not to speak against Your work in my life (Ps 141:3). I do not allow any corrupt communication to proceed out of my mouth, but only that which is good, that it may minister grace to the hearers (Eph 4:29). I declare that I am favorable in Your sight Lord. I, Like Joseph, prosper wherever I go and in every situation; because You are always with me. I experience preferential treatment in every situation (Gen 39:1-6, 21). I am blessed and highly favored (Luke 1:28). I also associate with those who are blessed and highly favored so that I may increase in every area of my life (Gen 30:27). Your favor can do more in a minute than labor can do in a lifetime, and I declare that I walk in Your favor every day!
I actively seek and live by Your wisdom and therefore, I am highly favored and esteemed in Your sight and in the sight of men (Prov 3:1-4). I declare that Your favor promotes me and causes me to increase daily (Es 2:17; Ps 75:6-7). You take pleasure in the prosperity of Your servants, I am your servant, and I declare that I am prosperous (Ps 35:27). I prosper in every area of my life: spiritually, physically, financially, socially and mentally (3 Jn 2). You have given me the power to get wealth and I declare that wealth and riches shall be in my house (Deut 8:18; Ps 112:3).
I refuse evil advice and do not follow sinners, nor their ways. Your Word makes happy and I think about it day and night. I declare that I am like a tree that is planted by a river. This tree has a constant supply of what it needs to grow and prosper. It grows up tall and strong. It produces fruit in season and always has leaves. This tree represents my life and everything I put my hands to do – PROSPERS! (Ps 1:1-3).
Lord, be it unto me, according to thy Word, they will, and my declaration! Not because I am good enough, but only because of Your grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
