I have not provided you a Missions Update in awhile. I felt led to let you know what the Lord is blessing us to do. This past Christmas Rick & Isabella Pina Ministries (RIPMinistries) was busy in the Dominican Republic.
The power of a toy:
If you grew up in poverty you know what it is like to wish you had a toy. We all know children who have more toys than they can play with. But there are countless children who don’t have toys and when Christmas time rolls around, they secretly hope they get one. While we can’t bless every child in the world, we seek to make a difference, one child at a time.
RIPMinistries was able give toys to over 250 children in La Vega, DR during this past Christmas season. This included the children from our Haitian schools. We are very thankful to be able to share the love of God with children. May the children feel God’s presence as they play with these toys.

Sharing the love of God through food:
If you know what it is like to go without food, you know how harrowing it can be to wonder where your next meal is coming from. While I grew up in poverty, at least I was in the United States and my family was able to draw Public Assistance. With government support we were always able to have a meal. Isabella did not grow up in the United States, and she did not have that luxury. So sharing the love of God through food has a special place in our hearts.
RIPMinistries partnered with another ministry in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to feed 81 families for Christmas. We provided groceries so each family could have a few meals during this Christmas season. We are thankful to be able to share the love of God.
