Today I continue our new series entitled, “Power of Fellowship.” This series has been going on for three weeks now. I trust that it has been a blessing to you. As we close out this week and prepare our hearts for the weekend, I feel led to simply share a few of the thoughts I have been meditating on concerning what God wants me to teach you in this series.
So what does this mean to you today? A few things.
1. The Father loves you so much that He deeply desires a true and intimate relationship with you. If you don’t have a real relationship with Him, if you don’t see yourself talking to God like a man talks to his friend, then it’s time to make some changes. If you develop this relationship correctly, it will not only change your life, but it will BE YOUR LIFE! Walking with God will be the way you live every moment of every day.
2. Jesus was not just an example FOR us. He was actually an example OF us. When you look at the life of Jesus, you see a picture of what your life is supposed to look like. Jesus was so close to the Father that He only said what the Father told Him to say and He only did what the Father led Him to do. This is how we are supposed to live.
3. Jesus was ONE with the Father. In John 17 Jesus prayed for us. He actually prayed that we would be ONE with the Father like He was ONE. Jesus’ prayer should be our aim in life. When you see yourself as ONE with the Father, there is nothing you can’t do, because you know you are not the one doing it.
4. The goal is to get to the point where Jesus was. Jesus was able to say, “If you have seen me you’ve seen the Father. It is the Father who lives in me. He gives me the words and He performs the work.” As you enter this day please develop this mindset. If you walk into every meeting, conversation and all the activity you will engage in today, acknowledging that God is IN YOU, and that He will willing to give you the words and perform the work, there is nothing you won’t be able to accomplish. Because you and the Father are ONE!
5. When you walk with God in earnest, allowing Him to lead, guide and direct in you ALL things, you live a life without stress. You simply do as you are led. Living this way you will get to the point where you love yourself, you are comfortable in your own skin, you are not intimidated by anything or anyone, and you are prepared for everything that comes your way. Because you know that you are walking around with a GOD on the inside of you!
6. Allow me to speak this over your life: “You are a man/woman of God. You have given your life to Christ. Jesus is Your Lord. You love Him and He loves you The love of God fills your heart and mind. You are now at the point where you look in the mirror and you see Jesus Himself. As Jesus is, so are you, in this world. God’s hand is on you. His favor goes before you. His power flows through you. Today… God gives you the words. Today… God performs the work, through you, for His glory. You and the Father are ONE!”
Declaration of Faith:
Father, the fact that You have taken up residence inside of me, and that You WANT to fellowship with me, is amazing. The God of all gods, the King of all kings, and the Lord of all lords, lives INSIDE of me! You love me and I love you. I declare that I will make time to spend time with You. I walk with You and You walk with me. You live in me. It is time for me to LET YOU OUT! The world will see Jesus today. Because they will see Him in me! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
