Today we continue our series entitled, “Pursuing Grace-Based Success!”
Here are our foundational scriptures:
(Ephesians 2:8-10 ERV)
8 I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God.
9 You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about.
10 God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.
(1 Corinthians 1:30,31 NLT)
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.
31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”
(2 Timothy 1:9 NKJV)
Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
I trust this series is blessing you and teaching you the importance of lining up your priorities with God’s priority for your life: your purpose. I don’t claim to know it all. I am far from perfect. But I have learned a few things over the years as I have walked with God. I have learned the following:
— There is a God, and the existence of God does not negate the existence of satan.
God birthed us for a reason: His divine purpose for our lives.
— Humans have an innate desire to “win” in life, to succeed, and the only way to truly do it (at least in God’s eyes) is to discover, develop and deploy into God’s purpose.
— Pursuing purpose and doing God’s will does not exonerate us from challenges. It actually attracts more opposition than it repels.
— A human who is committed to becoming a conduit for the divine is unstoppable because the power comes from God, who freely flows through a submitted and surrendered vessel.
With that in mind, today I will give you a few examples of humans who surrendered to God and became UNSTOPPABLE.
So what does this mean to you today? Let’s get to it.
1. Joseph was UNSTOPPABLE.
10 ruthless brothers, a sex-hungry boss’ wife, and years in prison could not stop Joseph. After 20+ years, his dream came to pass, and he told his brothers that God had taken what they planned for evil and turned it around for his good. No human could stop what our God in heaven had planned for Joseph. Since Joseph believed what God believed about Him, he became the man he was destined to be.
2. David was UNSTOPPABLE.
An angry king with a cold-blooded army could not stop David. Think about that. Saul had an entire army looking for him on a seek-and-destroy mission, and God protected David for his assignment. Saul tried to have David killed for 13 long years, but in the end, God protected David for his purpose. After 13 years, David became king of Judah. Seven years later, God’s words spoken to him through the prophet Samuel came to pass, and David became the king of a unified Israel.
An ARMY could not find him, a giant could not kill him, and a reigning king could not stop him. That’s how it is when God is on you, in you, with you, and for you. The only person who can stop God’s purpose for your life is you when you fail to believe and cooperate with God.
3. Gideon was UNSTOPPABLE.
Gideon led 300 men to a victory against approximately
135,000 men. To put it in modern terms, Gideon had a Battalion (minus) size element, and they were up against two Corps (with 10 Divisions) worth of men Soldiers, and they still won! Why? Because God was with the 300!
You + God = Victory, every time! God caused the enemy to turn on themselves and kill each other, all because Gideon was doing what God called him to do.
The only person who could have stopped Gideon was Gideon, with his unbelief. But once he got past that, he was UNSTOPPABLE becuase God is UNSTOPPABLE, and God was the one who was working through him.
4. Paul was UNSTOPPABLE.
Floggings, stonings, shipwrecks, imprisonments, and deadly snakes could not stop Paul. Paul’s attitude was, “For me to live is Christ.” It’s like the enemy said, “Okay, Paul, well, if you say ‘To live is Christ,’ then we are going to kill you.” Paul said, “That’s okay, because for me, to die is gain.” The enemy said, “Okay Paul, in that case, we are not going to kill you, nor will we let you live in peace.” To which Paul said, “That’s okay too! For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us!” In other words, Paul said, “If you let me live, I’ll serve the Lord. If you kill me, I’ll go on to heaven. If you make me suffer, I’ll have a bigger crown when I get there. Bottom line: there’s nothing you can do to stop me!“
Paul made the greatest impact of any human (outside of Jesus) in the first-century church, but he also arguably faced the most opposition. The devil was furiously and feverishly trying to stop Paul. But he could not stop Paul because Paul was doing what God called him to do. This made Paul UNSTOPPABLE!
5. Jesus was UNSTOPPABLE.
Satan could not stop Jesus. He wanted to. He tried. He even tried to tempt Jesus to give him a pledge of allegiance willingly, but through it all, satan was not capable of stopping Jesus.
The Bible tells us that if the princes of this world had known what they were doing, they would have never crucified the Lord of Glory. When they were killing Jesus, they thought they were winning. Satan and his imps were foolishly celebrating when Jesus was going to the cross. Bishop T. D. Jakes once preached a message entitled “The Blood Trap” about this. When the first drop of Jesus’ blood hit the ground, it sealed satan’s fate. Jesus’ death became the catalyst for eternal life for everyone everywhere! What satan thought was going to be his greatest victory wound up becoming his greatest defeat!
6. YOU are UNSTOPPABLE!
What happened with Jesus will happen with you. The more satan attacks you, the more grace you tap into and the greater you become. If the devil knew any better, he would leave you alone!
— Satan cannot stop God’s purpose for your life. Satan cannot stop a man or woman of God who is walking in their divine assignment. That’s why he wants to get you frustrated.
— Satan wants you to get frustrated and QUIT.
— To be clear, satan cannot stop you, but you can stop yourself when you quit.
— If you ever get to the point where you want to give up and you wind up quitting (walking away from your purpose), satan did not stop you; you stopped you!
So, in closing, my message to you is simple: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER CAVE IN, and NEVER QUIT! The only way you can lose is if you quit.
Say, “I will not lose, because I refuse to quit! Walking with God makes me UNSTOPPABLE!“
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I thank You for teaching me about grace-based success.
I am now convinced that my prosperity (my success in life) is connected to my divine purpose.
You made plans for me before the world began. Along with the plans, You also made provisions for everything I need to accomplish what I am called to do.
I only struggle in life when I am outside of my assignment. When I am flowing in my assignment, I still face opposition, but I face it with Your grace.
You empower me to overcome every attack and still love every attacker. I am not moved by the enemy, his attacks, or his attackers. I walk in love, peace, and purpose.
As I do, I declare by faith that I am UNSTOPPABLE. The enemy cannot stop You. Therefore, when You are flowing through me, he cannot stop me. Because at that point, stopping me would mean stopping YOU, and YOU CAN NOT BE STOPPED!
You are ON me, IN me, WITH me, and FOR me. GREATER IS COMING FOR ME! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
