Today, we continue our series entitled “Laser Focus,” with the point being that we should live with a Laser Focus on the Fixed Purpose God established for us before the world began.
This is the main scripture we will be looking at this year:

Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.
Today, we will also look at this passage:
Psalm 5:12
(NKJV) For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor, You will surround him as with a shield.
(TPT) Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy.
Psalm 5:12 is something I declare of me and my family all the time. Today, we will take a closer look at it.
So, what does this mean to you today? A few things.
1. The Blessing of Righteousness.
— Righteousness Through Faith: Understand that our righteousness is not of our own doing but through faith in Jesus Christ. It’s this righteousness that positions us for God’s favor.
— A Shield of Favor: Just as a shield protects, God’s favor guards us from unseen battles and challenges, providing safety and security as we pursue our God-given purposes. This means that favor is not only about walking in The Blessing of the Lord but also about enjoying divine protection.
— Protection in Purpose: As we pursue our fixed purpose in 2024, God’s favor not only protects us but also propels us forward, ensuring our steps are ordered by Him. He leads us daily into His best!
— Unseen Battles Won: Many battles are won in the spiritual realm, thanks to the shield of favor God places around us, affirming that we are never alone in our pursuit of purpose. We won’t know how many things the Lord kept us from until we get to heaven!
— Joy in the Journey: The joy of the Lord is our strength. As we focus on our divine purpose, His joy becomes integral to our daily walk. The Joy of the Lord empowers us to power through trying times.
— A Canopy of Kindness: I told you before that this will be a year of supernatural kindness. The favor of the Lord will go before us and envelop us. Our lives will be marked by the favor of God. This favor, this kindness, isn’t just a one-time event; it’s a continuous covering that ushers us into God’s best, even in trials. Thank God that we get to live under a canopy of supernatural kindness.
Say this, “The favor of the Lord is part of the blessing of the righteous, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Therefore, I live under a canopy of kindness; the favor of God is all over me!“
2. Maintaining Focus Amidst Distraction.
— Favor Sets Us Apart: Living with a laser focus on God’s purpose sets us apart and attracts His favor, distinguishing us in our fields and callings. When the favor of God is on your life, you will be noticed, and your voice will have influence.
— Prioritizing Purpose: Every day, make a conscious decision to prioritize God’s purpose over distractions that vie for your attention. The more “locked in” you are to your purpose, the more you will experience God’s kindness because His favor is on His purpose.
— The Power of No: Learn to say no to good opportunities that aren’t God opportunities, understanding that not every open door is meant for you to walk through. This will keep your feet bound to the path God destined for you!
— Vision Over Visibility: Trust in God’s vision for your life even when you can’t see the entire path. His favor illuminates steps one at a time. As you focus on what God is saying today, ignoring life’s distractions, He will lead you into the tomorrow He planned. Paraphrasing what Jesus said, “Focus on today and tomorrow will take care of itself.”
3. Encapsulated in Divine Favor.
— Righteousness Attracts Favor: Embrace the truth that living righteously positions you within the realm of God’s favor. Your commitment to righteousness is not unnoticed by the Father.
— Shielded by Favor: Recognize that God’s favor isn’t just a passive blessing; it actively shields you from harm, creating a protective barrier around your life.
— Joy in His Presence: Understand that the joy found in God’s presence is part of the favor He bestows on the righteous. This joy is a strength that sustains you through trials.
— Canopy of Kindness: Meditate on the reality that God’s kindness over your life is like a canopy—comprehensive and covering all aspects of your existence.
— Expectation of Blessings: Live with the expectation that God’s favor will manifest in tangible blessings, as His favor envelops you like a shield.
— Walking in Wisdom: Seek wisdom diligently, for it is the wise who inherit favor (Prov 3:35). It’s not that you are making anything happen. It’s just that you are aligning with what God has already done. Wisdom guides your steps into the paths where God’s favor awaits.
4. Manifesting God’s Favor in Daily Life.
— Visible Tokens of Favor: Look for and acknowledge the visible tokens of God’s favor in your life. From provision to protection, His favor is often displayed in the details. When you notice it, thank God for it!
— Generosity Attracts Favor: Let the favor you’ve received from God inspire you to be generous. Generosity is both a fruit and a multiplier of God’s favor.
— Prayers for Favor: Incorporate prayers for favor into your daily communication with God, not only for yourself but for your community and loved ones.
— Seeking His Will: Actively seek God’s will in all decisions. Alignment with His will is a sure path to experiencing His favor, as obedience opens doors to His blessings. Once again, you are not making things happen, and God is not responding to your commands. What you are doing is aligning with your fixed purpose becuase God’s Blessing and Favor are waiting for you to get in alignment with your assignment. Once you are aligned, you will realize that Blessings and Favor were already flowing; you were just not in place. Once you are in place, you enjoy a CANOPY OF KINDNESS!
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I declare that I am righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, positioned securely under Your favor.
I affirm that Your favor is my shield, protecting me from every unseen battle and challenge.
I rejoice in Your continuous canopy of kindness, experiencing Your joy in every step of my journey.
I commit to a daily pursuit of righteousness, aligning my actions with Your divine will and purpose.
Father, I am set apart by Your favor, distinguished in my calling and field through Your divine favor.
I reject all distractions, prioritizing Your purpose above all else, with a heart fully surrendered to Your will.
I trust in Your vision for my life, confident that Your favor illuminates my path, one step at a time.
I actively seek Your will, knowing that alignment with Your purpose ensures a continual experience of Your favor.
I expect miraculous outcomes, prepared for Your favor to accomplish the impossible in and through my life.
I give thanks for every manifestation of Your favor, recognizing each as a testament of Your grace and love.
GREATER IS COMING FOR ME because I live under a canopy of kindness daily! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. AMEN!
