From Ordinary to Indispensable: Embrace God’s Calling to Solve Problems

by Rick

Today, we continue our series entitled “Laser Focus,” emphasizing living with a Laser Focus on the Fixed Purpose God established for us before the world began.

(Proverbs 4:25 TPT)

Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.

Scriptures for today:

(James 1:2-4 TPT)

2 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

3 For you know that when your faith is tested, it stirs up power within you to endure all things.

4 And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

(Ecc 3:1 ERV)

There is a right time for everything, and everything on earth will happen at the right time.

(Gen 41:53-55 ERV)

53 For seven years people had all the food they needed, but those years ended.

54 Then the seven years of hunger began, just as Joseph had said. No food grew anywhere in any of the countries in that area. But in Egypt people had plenty to eat because Joseph had stored the grain.

55 The famine began, and the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Pharaoh said to the Egyptian people, “Go ask Joseph what to do.”

So, what does this mean for you today?  A few things

1. God’s Wisdom Equips You to Be the Solution.

God’s wisdom is not just for your benefit; it equips you to be the solution in situations that seem insurmountable to others. Just as Joseph was positioned by God to address the famine in Egypt with divine strategy, God imparts His wisdom to you so that you can provide answers that elude others.

How this applies to you:

— Recognize that the wisdom God gives you is often meant to be shared, making you a conduit of His grace and provision.

— Embrace opportunities to solve problems or provide guidance, knowing that God has uniquely prepared you for these moments.

— Trust that God’s wisdom in you can bring about change in your community, workplace, or church.

— Be proactive in situations where you see a need, offering God-inspired solutions without hesitation.  Don’t be afraid to speak up when the Holy Spirit is nudging you to do so.

— Continue to seek God for deeper insights and understanding, knowing that each revelation prepares you for greater challenges and opportunities.

2. Your Role as God’s Representative.

When you operate in the wisdom of God, you become His representative in every sphere of influence. Just as Joseph was seen as the go-to person during Egypt’s crisis, God positions you in places where your spiritual insights and godly wisdom make you indispensable.

How this applies to you:

— Acknowledge your responsibility as a bearer of God’s wisdom, which involves upholding integrity and righteousness.

— Recognize the fact that God influences the world through His children.  When you open up your heart and allow God to use your lips, His influence is felt, and His Kingdom advances on this planet.

— To become an effective conduit of God’s wisdom, prepare yourself daily through prayer and study of the Word, so you’re always ready to respond when called upon.

— Understand that your influence extends beyond providing answers; it involves modeling godly character.

— Be willing to step into roles that may seem daunting or overwhelming, trusting that God has already equipped you with the wisdom necessary to succeed.

3. Divine Preparation for Divine Appointments.

God meticulously prepares you for significant moments where your actions, inspired by His wisdom, will have far-reaching effects. Just as Joseph was prepared through trials and time for his role as Egypt’s pseudo-savior, your experiences are shaping you to be uniquely qualified to handle the assignments God has for you.

How this applies to you:

— Value every experience as part of your divine training, understanding that God uses both good and challenging times to prepare you.

— Stay patient during periods of waiting or hardship, knowing that these moments are equipping you with resilience and a depth of experience.

— Recognize the lessons in each phase of your life, which are often prerequisites for the next level of your destiny.

— Maintain a heart of gratitude and openness, learning what God is teaching you through each situation.

— Be vigilant in your spiritual and personal development, knowing that your preparation will determine your impact during critical moments.

4. Walking in Your God-Given Authority.

When you operate under God’s wisdom and authority, you transform from being merely influenced by your environments to influencing them. Like Joseph, who went from interpreting dreams to governing a nation, you are called to operate in the authority God gives you to bring about change.

How this applies to you:

— Embrace the authority God has given you with humility and courage, using it to effect positive change.

— Do not shy away from making decisions that align with God’s will, even if they are unpopular.

— Teach others by example, showing them what it looks like to live confidently in God’s purpose.

— Pray for the courage to step up when others step back, especially in times of crisis or when strong leadership is needed.

— Recognize that your authority is for service, not for personal gain, reflecting Jesus’ model of servant leadership.

5. When you walk in divine wisdom, you become indispensable.

When Pharaoh did not know what his dreams meant, he asked Joseph. Joseph received the answers from God, and he shared them with the King. The King, in turn, promoted Joseph.

When the seven years of plenty were over, the famine started, just as Joseph said it would. Joseph was not surprised because he knew that God knew what He was talking about. For God, it was already done. For them, it was just a matter of time.

When the famine started, no one had food. No one in Egypt and no one in the surrounding area. But Egypt was prepared because God had revealed the future to Joseph, and Egypt, as a nation, had the advantage.

When people came to Pharaoh, crying for food, He did not answer them. He said, “Go ask Joseph what to do.” A few years earlier, Joseph was a slave and a prisoner. Now he was the Prime Minister of Egypt, and he was the man with all the answers. He was indispensable.

How this applies to you:

— Cultivate a deep relationship with God to continually access the wisdom that makes you valuable to others.

— Apply God-given wisdom not just in crisis but in everyday decisions to build credibility and trust among your peers.

— Be ready to provide solutions that others may not see, leveraging your divine insight to benefit those around you.

— Understand that your role in God’s plan often involves helping others navigate their difficulties.

— Recognize that being indispensable is not about power but about serving God’s purpose in your life and the lives of others.

A few final thoughts for today:

— The experiences you are having today are preparing you to walk in the fullness of your assignment.

— If Joseph had skipped any steps, he would not have been ready.

— Remember, God is not punishing you; He is preparing you.

— When that time comes, you will be able to walk in the fullness of your assignment, and God will make you indispensable to your organization (or business). When people go to your boss, he/she will send them straight to you. Why? Because you are the man/woman with all the answers. You are the one who is walking in the wisdom of God. God has prepared you FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I am THE ANSWER because You give me the answers.  Your wisdom equips me to solve the world’s problems.

You reveal to me what I need to know when I need to know it.  As I share it, Your wisdom in me brings positive change to my sphere of influence.

As I walk in supernatural wisdom and share it in the right moments, You give me and my organization an advantage over our competitors.

When people come looking for answers to hard problems, they are redirected to me because You have made me THE ANSWER to the challenges of this present age.

I am indispensable to my organization because Your wisdom flows through me daily.

I am a human conduit of divine wisdom in this world.

You speak through my vocal cords, think through my mind, and operate through my limbs.

Living this way, I know You will make a great impact through me, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is Today’s Word. Apply it and prosper!
