Living the Grace Life: How to Walk in God’s Favor Every Day

by Rick

Today we begin a new series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025 and beyond.

2 Corinthians? ?9?:?8? ?TPT??

“Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything —every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.”

??

??Galatians? ?5?:?4? ?TPT??

“If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!”

Romans? ?6?:?14? ?ERV??

“Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.”

??

1 Corinthians? ?15?:?10? ?CEV??

“But God treated me with undeserved grace! He made me what I am, and his grace wasn’t wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God’s grace at work and not me.”

??2 Corinthians? ?12?:?9? ?ERV??

“But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me.”

Setting the stage:

As we enter 2025, I am excited about what God has placed on my heart to share with you. After spending 2024 focused on living with a laser focus on God’s fixed purpose for our lives, the Lord is leading us to understand how His grace empowers us to fulfill that purpose. Many believers struggle because they’re trying to earn what God has already freely given. They’re attempting to achieve through human effort what can only be received by grace through faith.  This year, we will learn to transition from performing to receiving, from trying to trusting, from labor to favor, and from working FOR grace to working BY grace.  I will spend the entire year teaching you how to live THE GRACE LIFE!

So, what does this mean to you today?  I gave you several verses to consider this morning.  I will share a few thoughts based on these verses.

1. Understanding Grace as God’s Empowerment.

The grace of God is not just unmerited favor – it is God’s way of empowering us to accomplish what we could never do on our own. Many believers misunderstand grace, thinking it simply means God’s forgiveness or kindness.  While grace certainly includes these aspects, it is far more powerful and practical.

Grace is the supernatural power of God flowing through yielded vessels. When you tap into God’s grace, you enter a realm where you can accomplish more than ever before, while experiencing less stress than ever before. The Apostle Paul understood this when he said, “I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God’s grace at work and not me.” (1 Cor 15:10).

God’s grace doesn’t lead to laziness; it leads to supernatural productivity.  When you understand grace properly, you realize that it’s not about what you can do for God, but rather what God can do through you.

How this applies to you:

— God’s grace does not make you passive. It makes you powerful because when you yield to it and embrace it, God’s power flows through you.

— Grace is not a license to be lazy; it’s empowerment to do more than you ever could in your own strength.

— God’s grace provides both the desire and the power to do His will.

— You don’t have to earn what God has already freely given.

— Grace is not about your performance; it’s about His provision.

— You can rest in God’s ability while working harder than ever before. When you work this way, you will work hard without stressing out because God is the one living through you.

— When you live #TheGraceLife, the pressure to perform is replaced with the freedom to receive.

2. Transitioning from The Law to Grace.

Many believers are still living under The Law while claiming to be under grace.  This creates a destructive cycle of trying to mix two systems that were never meant to coexist. The Bible makes it clear that you cannot live under both systems simultaneously.  In Galatians 5:4, Paul warns that if you attempt to be made right with God through The Law, you have fallen from grace.  This isn’t just theological theory – it’s practical reality that affects every aspect of your daily life.

Living under The Law means constantly trying to earn what Jesus has already freely given.  It means living with the pressure to perform, the burden to measure up, and the constant fear of not being good enough. But grace offers a better way. Under grace, your standing with God is not based on your performance but on Jesus’ finished work. Your blessings are not earned through your efforts but received through faith in what Christ has already accomplished.  This is why Paul was so adamant about believers understanding the difference between law and grace.

How this applies to you:

— The law demands performance, but grace provides empowerment. The law says “do,” but grace says “done.”

— Under grace, God’s blessing is based on His goodness, not your performance.

— Stop trying to earn what Jesus already paid for.

— Grace frees you from the constant pressure to measure up.

— Your identity is based on who God says you are, not what you do.

— Grace empowers you to live holy, not to give you a license to sin.

— Living under grace means receiving by faith, not achieving by works.

— Grace positions you to receive God’s favor daily, not to earn it.

— Walking in grace keeps you in step with God’s best for your life.

— Favor flows freely when you rest in what Christ has already done.

3. Living FROM Victory, Not FOR Victory.

Grace teaches us that everything we need has already been provided. For some, this is a revolutionary concept. But when you understand it, it completely transforms how you approach life and its challenges.  Most believers spend their lives trying to achieve victory, not realizing that victory has already been won through Christ.  They pray for provision instead of praying to receive what God has already provided. They ask for strength, without realizing that God’s grace is already available.  This mindset shift is critical to living #TheGraceLife.

In Ephesians 1:3, we learn that God “has blessed us” (past tense) with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.  God, who exists outside of time, has already seen everything you will face in 2025 and beyond, and He has already made provision for it all.  You’re not waiting on God to move; He’s waiting on you to receive what His grace has already provided.  This is why the Bible tells us that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us – not that we will be, but that we already are.

How this applies to you:

— The provision always precedes the problem. You will never face something God has not already given you the grace for.

— God has already graced you for whatever you will face this year.

— Achieving success in 2025 is not about you striving for it. But about you receiving what God has already provided. God has equipped you for such a time as this! — Stop striving to get what God has already given.

— Grace positions you to receive before you ever face the need.

— Your victory is not determined by your performance but by God’s provision.

— Start each day expecting God’s favor to go before you.

— Trust that God has already equipped you for today’s challenges.

— Walk in confidence, knowing God’s grace makes the impossible possible. Not because you are good. But because He is!

4. Grace for Everyday Living.

Grace is not just for salvation; it is the divine enablement that empowers us to thrive in every area of our lives—spiritually, physically, financially, and relationally.  It is the supernatural ability to face life’s challenges with confidence, knowing that God’s power is working through us.  Grace transforms ordinary people into extraordinary vessels of God’s glory, enabling them to walk in divine purpose without fear, stress, or striving.

When we embrace grace, we shift from operating in human effort to resting in God’s ability.  This rest is not inactivity; rather, it is Spirit-led productivity that flows from a position of confidence in God’s provision.  Paul declared that God’s grace is sufficient, even in times of weakness, because His strength is made perfect in our frailty (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Grace gives us the strength to persevere, the wisdom to make sound decisions, and the courage to step into new opportunities. It turns impossible situations into testimonies of God’s faithfulness. Living in grace means waking up every day with the assurance that God has already equipped us for success, covered us with favor, and empowered us to accomplish His will. Whether you’re managing your household, leading a team, building a business, or navigating relationships, God’s grace makes hard things easy and heavy burdens light. It reminds us that we are not alone—God’s power is present and active, guiding us every step of the way.

How this applies to you:

— God’s grace turns ordinary people into extraordinary testimonies.

— Living in grace means living free from stress, strain, and the pressure to perform.

— Grace transforms every area of your life – spiritual, physical, financial, and relational.

— When you flow in the grace of God, you can accomplish supernatural things while experiencing supernatural peace.

— God’s grace makes difficult things easier and heavy burdens lighter.

— You don’t have to figure everything out; God’s grace provides divine wisdom daily.

— When you tap into grace, you access God’s ability rather than relying on your own.

— Grace positions you to receive divine solutions for everyday challenges.

— Living in grace means experiencing God’s supernatural power in practical ways.

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I thank You for Your amazing grace that empowers me to live victoriously.

I embrace the freedom of living under Your grace and reject the bondage of living under law.

I receive by faith what I could never earn by works.

Your grace is sufficient for everything I will face in 2025.

I acknowledge that Your grace has already provided everything I need.

Your favor goes before me daily, preparing the way, and positioning me for Your best.

Therefore, I live FROM victory, not FOR victory!

I rest in Your ability while working harder than ever before.

Living this way, I get more done. But I am able to do it without stressing, without my body breaking down, and while getting sufficient rest.

This is because I am not the one doing it. You are living through me!

Your grace turns my ordinary into extraordinary.

Living The Grace Life in 2025 and beyond, I declare that GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word! Apply it and prosper!
