The Holy Spirit Is The Key to Your Life with God

by Rick

Today we continue our series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025.

Key scriptures for this year:

2 Corinthians? ?9?:?8? ?TPT??

“Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.”

??

??Galatians? ?5?:?4? ?TPT??

“If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!”

Romans? ?6?:?14? ?ERV??

“Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.”

??

1 Corinthians? ?15?:?10? ?NIV??

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

Additional scriptures for today:

Let’s look at Gal 5:18 in four translations:

Galatians 5:18 Easy to Read Version

“But if you let the Spirit lead you, you are not under law.”

Galatians 5:18 The Passion Translation

“But when you are brought into the full freedom of the Spirit of grace, you will no longer be living under the domination of the law, but soaring above it!”

Galatians 5:18 Amplified Bible

“But if you are guided and led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.”

Galatians 5:18 New Living Translation

“But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.”

Setting the Stage:

The transition from living under The Law to living under grace is a profound shift that many believers struggle to fully embrace. While The Law was external (written on tablets of stone), grace is internal, operating through the Holy Spirit who lives within us.  Understanding this difference is crucial because it completely transforms how we approach our relationship with God and how we live our daily lives.

So, what does this mean to you today?  A few things.

1. Living By The Spirit’s Leading.

Jesus restored what Adam lost in the Garden – intimate fellowship with God through His indwelling Spirit. When you are Born-Again, God’s Spirit lives in you, just as He lived in Jesus.  This enables you to live like Jesus lived – not by external rules, but by internal leading.  This has profound implications for your daily life and leadership.

How this applies to you:

— You have God Himself living inside of you in the form of His Spirit.

— Like Jesus, you can be led by the Spirit in all things, at all times.

— The Holy Spirit leads you with power and influence from within, not through pressure from without.

— Being Spirit-led means you can hear God’s voice and follow His guidance.

— In the workplace, you have access to divine insight that can guide your decisions, strategies, and interactions with others because you are connected to the Father, Spirit-to-Spirit.

— When facing critical business decisions, you can pause and tune in to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, just as Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing.

— The Holy Spirit gives you access to wisdom beyond your education, experience, and expertise.

— In meetings and negotiations, you can rely on the Spirit to give you the right words at the right time.

The Spirit’s leading, coupled with God’s grace, will empower you to handle challenges that seem impossible in the natural.

2. Freedom from The Law’s Demands.

The Law was given as a tutor to show us our need for a Savior. Now that Jesus has come, we no longer need that tutor.  We have something better – God’s Spirit living within us.

How this applies to you:

— The Law proves we need a Savior; grace provides that Savior.

— Rules can show you when you’re wrong but can’t make you right.

— God’s Spirit leads you to do right without the pressure of the rules.

— Grace empowers you to live holy without the bondage of The Law.

— The Spirit’s leading produces what The Law could never achieve.

— You are free to follow God’s Spirit without the burden of legalism.

You’re no longer bound by performance-based pressure, and as a result, you can soar above your old life (that was based on your effort) as the Holy Spirit leads you into a level of excellence that is empowered by Him!

— The Spirit leads you to higher standards than any external system could demand.

— When others are stressed about meeting quotas, you can work from a place of peace and rest, knowing the Holy Spirit will lead you into God’s best.

— In leadership roles, you can create a culture of excellence that flows from grace, not pressure.

— Your success comes from being Spirit-led, not rule-driven, which produces better results with less strain.

3. Operating in Divine Partnership.

Like Jesus, you can now live in constant partnership with the Holy Spirit.  This partnership enables you to say what the Father says and do what the Father does.

How this applies to you:

— You don’t have to figure everything out on your own because God’s Spirit lives IN you.

— The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say and even lead you in how to say them so they will be received.

— God’s Spirit will lead you concerning where to go and then tell you what to do when you get there.

— Living Spirit-led means living supernaturally natural.

— You can face every meeting, project, and challenge with supernatural confidence because you’re not doing it alone.

— The Spirit’s leading gives you insights that no business school could teach you.

— Being Spirit-led means you can make decisions with confidence, knowing you have divine insight.

— You can maintain peace under pressure because you’re operating in the Spirit’s freedom.

God will use your education and experience to take them to another level. He will take what you learned (along the way) and then add things you can discern by His Spirit, and this combination of education and revelation positions you to experience God’s best and to make the impact you were born to make.

4. Grace Empowers Spirit-Led Living.

God’s grace, through His Spirit, empowers you to live beyond your natural abilities.  This is how you become the person you were born to be.

How this applies to you:

Grace provides the power to do what the Spirit leads you to do.

— You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

— The Spirit never leads you where grace won’t keep you.

— Your weakness becomes the showcase for God’s strength.

— Grace makes impossible assignments possible.

— You can handle greater responsibility with less stress because you’re led by the Spirit.

— In leadership, you can inspire rather than intimidate because you’re operating from grace.

— While others strive in their own strength, you soar above your humanity and the efforts of others as well, because you are being led by God’s Spirit.

— Your decision-making combines professional wisdom with divine insight.

— You can maintain the proper work-life balance (even though I don’t like that term, I understand what it means to many) because you’re living from grace, not grinding in your own power.

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I thank You for placing Your Spirit within me to guide me in all things.

I declare that I am led by Your Spirit in critical meetings, while at my desk performing daily duties, and while I am interacting with others in person or virtually.

Your grace empowers me to work harder than ever before, but without human strain or stress.

I pause throughout my day to receive Your divine insight and supernatural wisdom.

I face every challenge with quiet confidence, knowing You are with me and Your grace is sufficient.

I make great decisions by combining sound business principles with Your divine direction.

When I speak, Your Spirit gives me the right words that bring solutions and create impact.

I excel in my career while maintaining my spiritual priorities, all by Your grace.

Living this way, I experience THE GRACE LIFE in 2025 and beyond, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word! Apply it and prosper!
