Grace in Galatians (Part 44): When Jesus’ Success Becomes Your Success

by Rick

Today, we continue our series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025.

As part of this series, I am teaching a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Galatians. Today, we’re diving deeper into one of the most revolutionary verses in the New Testament—a verse that holds the secret to supernatural confidence in every area of life.

Key scriptures for this year:

2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT
“Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.”

Galatians 5:4 TPT
“If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!”

Romans 6:14 ERV
“Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.”

1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

Scripture(s) we will study today:

Galatians 2:20 NIV

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 TPT

“My old identity has been crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union with him! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine!”

1 John 4:17 KJV

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 TPT

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.”

Setting the Stage:

Today, I want to talk to you about what happens when Jesus’ success becomes your success. This isn’t just theological theory. This teaching has practical application that transforms how Christian business leaders walk into boardrooms, handle negotiations, make strategic decisions, and build companies or lead divisions that reflect Kingdom principles.

Do you remember the “WWJD” craze? People were asking the question: What would Jesus do? However, when you understand Galatians 2:20, you look at life differently. You stop asking, “What would Jesus do in this situation?” and you start recognizing, “Jesus is actually living in, with, and through me right now. He is succeeding through me!” This revelation creates a level of confidence that cannot be shaken because you know that Jesus is literally living in and through you.

For leaders, this is life-changing. Whether you’re leading a team of 5 or 500, closing huge deals, making strategic partnerships, or building a company from the ground up, you’re not operating from your limited human capacity anymore. You’re operating from the unlimited capacity of Jesus Himself. This means that His wisdom, His favor, and His supernatural ability are available to you as you surrender to and are led by Him. Let’s talk about it.

So, what does this mean for you today? A few things.

1. All of Who Jesus Is Becomes Available to You.

Paul declares: “My old identity has been crucified with Christ and no longer lives.” This means your limitations (your background, your education, your past failures) no longer define what’s possible for you.

How this applies to you:

When you walk into any situation (whether it’s a job interview, a difficult conversation with your boss, or a presentation to clients), you’re not just bringing your qualifications anymore. Once you are in Christ and Christ is in you, you are bringing Jesus’ and all He is. Guess what? Jesus has a perfect track record of success.

— Jesus’ wisdom, His favor with people, and His ability to create solutions that human thinking can’t produce, are all available to you when you start living IN Him and allowing Him to live THROUGH you. You can be confident not because of what you’ve done, but because of what He’s done.

— Your career potential is no longer limited by your résumé, your connections, or your past mistakes. When Jesus’ success becomes yours, you have access to His creativity, His problem-solving ability, and His supernatural favor. You will find that He will lead you to apply for positions, start projects, and pursue opportunities that your natural qualifications don’t fully support. Why? Because he is backing you. He is ON you, IN you, WITH you, and FOR you!

— You will start to dream on a level that far exceeds your wildest imagination. Why? Because the Holy Spirit will open your heart to the life Jesus dreamed for you. Paul said it this way: “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” (Ephesians 3:20 TPT). This is #TheGraceLife.

— Instead of panicking when faced with difficult assignments, deadlines, or conflicts, you approach them with holy confidence because you know Jesus has never failed at anything and He lives in you.

Your work performance reflects Jesus’ standard of excellence. You don’t just try to do your best; you operate from His best. People notice there’s something different about your work quality, your attitude under pressure, and your ability to find solutions.

Your reputation in the workplace begins to reflect Jesus’ character. Reliability, integrity, wisdom, and excellence become associated with your name because these aren’t things you’re trying to project; they’re the natural overflow of His nature working through you.

2. You Operate from Jesus’ Wisdom, Not Just Your Experience.

Paul explains: “The Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union with him!” This union means you have access to Jesus’ wisdom for every decision you face at work.

How this applies to you:

Your approach to work challenges changes completely. Instead of relying solely on your education, training, or past experience,  you know you can pray! You have access to the wisdom of the One who created everything. Whether you’re solving technical problems, handling difficult people, or making strategic decisions, Jesus’ insight is available to you.

You begin to see opportunities that others miss. Because you’re seeing from Jesus’ perspective and your decisions are quickly recognized as divinely inspired. You make decisions based on both natural wisdom AND supernatural revelation.

— Your problem-solving ability becomes supernatural. When you face complex challenges, Jesus’ unlimited creativity and wisdom flow through you to the point where the Holy Spirit helps you to come up with creative solutions.

You handle workplace conflicts and difficult relationships with wisdom and grace. Instead of operating from human emotions like anger, fear, or the need to prove yourself right, you respond from Jesus’ wisdom, which often turns enemies into allies.

You know when to speak up and when to stay quiet. Jesus’ wisdom helps you discern the right timing for important conversations, when to push for changes, and when to be patient. Your timing becomes supernaturally accurate because you’re operating from Jesus’ insight.

Your financial decisions at work reflect both faith and wisdom. Whether you’re managing budgets, negotiating salaries, or making key financial decisions for your business or department, you understand how God’s principles of stewardship and multiplication work in practical situations. You become a good steward at home and at work.

— People start coming to you for counsel during difficult times because they recognize there’s something different about your perspective. Your words carry weight because they come from Jesus’ wisdom, not just human opinion.

3. Your Influence at Work Flows from Jesus’ Heart for People.

The verse continues: “My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me so much that he gave himself for me.” This transforms how you relate to and influence others in your workplace.

How this applies to you:

— When you get Born-Again and you start to allow Jesus to live through you, your leadership style reflects Jesus’ servant-leadership approach, regardless of your position on the organizational chart. Whether you’re an entry-level employee, a team lead, or in senior management, you influence others by serving them and helping them succeed. Your goal becomes lifting others up, not climbing over them.

You treat coworkers, customers, and even difficult supervisors as people Jesus loves. This doesn’t mean you become a pushover or a punk, but you approach everyone with dignity and respect because you understand that Jesus gave His life for them just like He did for you.

Your motivation for career advancement shifts from ego to impact. You seek promotions, better positions, and increased responsibility because you want greater opportunities to serve people and demonstrate God’s goodness. Your career and the influence associated with it become a platform for ministry, not just personal advancement.

You create positive work environments wherever you are. Whether you’re working in a team of 3 or leading a department of 300, you bring peace, encouragement, and excellence that make the workplace better for everyone. People feel valued and inspired when they work with you or for you.

— Instead of participating in office drama, spreading rumors, or playing games to get ahead, you choose to speak well of others, build bridges, and focus on solutions rather than problems.

Your success creates opportunities for other people. As you advance in your career, you intentionally mentor others, recommend qualified people for opportunities, and use your influence to help people around you grow. In other words, your prosperity becomes a blessing to those around you.

You become known as someone who brings out the best in others. People know that working with you will help them become better at what they do.

4. Jesus is Dispensing His Life into Yours Every Day.

Paul concludes with: “Dispensing his life into mine!” This means Jesus is continuously pouring His very life (His nature, His character, His abilities) into you moment by moment and day by day.

How this applies to you:

Every morning when you wake up, Jesus is dispensing fresh portions of His life into yours. He dispenses His peace for your anxious thoughts, His wisdom for your decisions, His strength for your challenges, and His love for difficult people. You don’t have to deal with today’s challenges based on yesterday’s grace. You get a fresh supply of grace from His life every single day.

When you feel overwhelmed by work or life, Jesus is dispensing His supernatural peace into your heart. You don’t have to manufacture calm or try to control your emotions. His life flowing into yours brings the same peace that allowed Him to sleep in a boat during a storm.

— As you interact with difficult people at work, Jesus is dispensing His love and patience into your heart. You’re not trying to be more loving through willpower. His life in you naturally produces compassion, understanding, and grace for people who would normally irritate you.

His excellence and integrity are being dispensed into your work ethic. You don’t have to try to be excellent or force yourself to do quality work.

His favor with people is being dispensed into your relationships. Doors open, connections happen, and opportunities arise not because of your networking skills, but because Jesus’ favor is flowing through your life and creating supernatural connections.

This dispensing process means you’re constantly being upgraded, improved, enhanced, and transformed. What used to be hard for you becomes easy. You’re literally becoming more like Jesus as His life continues to flow into every area of your existence.

That’s enough for today.

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I thank You that my old identity has been crucified with Jesus and no longer lives!

I declare that all of who Jesus is becomes available to me through our union.

Jesus’ perfect track record of success, His wisdom, His favor, and His supernatural ability are all available to me.

I operate from Jesus’ wisdom and insight, not just my experience and education.

My influence at work flows from Jesus’ heart for people, and I serve others as He served.

Jesus is dispensing His life into mine every single day – His peace, His love, His excellence, and His favor.

I am constantly being upgraded and transformed as His life flows through every area of my existence.

I am living #TheGraceLife, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word! Apply it and Prosper!
