Today, we continue our series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025.
As part of this series, I am teaching a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Galatians. In our last message, I established that while we are not called to live by works under the law anymore, we ARE called to walk and live by faith. Your faith is how you tap into God’s grace. Today, I want to show you that faith is voice-activated and that you must learn to speak the language of faith to access what grace has already provided.
Key scriptures for this year:
2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT
“Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.”
Galatians 5:4 TPT
“If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!”
Romans 6:14 ERV
“Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.”
1 Corinthians 15:10 CEV
“But God treated me with undeserved grace! He made me what I am, and his grace wasn’t wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God’s grace at work and not me.”
Scripture(s) we will study today:
2 Corinthians 4:13 TPT
“We have that same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, ‘First I believed, then I spoke in faith.’ So we also first believe then speak in faith.”
Romans 10:8-10 TPT
“And what is God’s ‘living message’? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation.”
Proverbs 18:21 TPT
“Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.”
Setting the Stage:
Here is something I have taught you over and over again, yet still, I believe most believers don’t understand: God operates by grace, grace is accessed through faith, and faith is voice-activated. You cannot separate what you believe in your heart from what you speak with your mouth and expect to see the full manifestation of God’s grace in your life.
The spirit of faith operates in two places: your heart and your mouth. When belief in your heart connects with confession from your mouth, you are speaking the language of faith, and this is how you access what grace has already made available.
Too many believers believe the right things in their hearts but undermine their faith by speaking the wrong things with their mouths. They believe God can heal, but they constantly talk about their sickness. They believe God can provide, but they constantly speak about lack. Your mouth must align with your heart for faith to tap into grace effectively.
I need you to understand that you are not trying to convince God to do something new; you are using your faith to access what grace has already provided. And faith is released through your words.
So what does this mean to you today? A few things.
1. Faith Has a Language, and You Must Learn to Speak It Fluently.
Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:13, “First I believed, then I spoke in faith.” Notice the order: believe first, then speak what you believe. There is a language of faith, just like there are different languages in the world. The language of faith accesses the realm of grace.
How this applies to you:
— Faith has a language, and if I listen to you for just a few minutes, I will notice whether or not you know how to speak it.
— The language of faith speaks what God says about your situation, not what your circumstances look like. While your eyes see the problem, the language of faith speaks the solution that grace has already provided. This is why Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:18, “We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.” The language of faith speaks from what you see in the spirit, not what you see with your natural eyes.
— You must become fluent in speaking what God believes about you, not what people say about you or what earthly circumstances are dictating to you. The language of faith says, “I am who God says I am and I can do what God says I can do,” regardless of what others think or say, and regardless of what it looks like (in the natural).
— Every time you speak fear, doubt, or complaint, you’re speaking a foreign language that cannot access God’s grace. Remember, God is watching over His Word to perform it (Jer 1:12), and angels are listening for the voice of the Word (Psalm 103:20). So when you speak what you see (in the natural) instead of what God is saying about your situation, you are keeping God and His angels from getting involved.
— Start your day by speaking the language of faith over your life, your family, your health, and your future. Instead of saying, “I’m worried about today,” speak the language of faith: “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
— The language of faith says, “It’s already done!” while the language of doubt says, “I hope it happens.” The language of faith accesses what grace has already completed.
— When challenges arise, resist the urge to speak the language of the world and instead speak the language of faith that taps into the grace solutions God has already provided. Remember that Jesus said in Matthew 12:36, “You will have to give account on the day of judgment for every idle word you have spoken.” Every negative, non-productive word matters. Your words are being recorded, and idle words that don’t produce faith cannot access grace. Choose your words carefully; speak faith intentionally.
— You must practice speaking the language of faith until it becomes natural. The more fluent you become in faith language, the more consistently you’ll access God’s grace.
2. Your Words Are Creating Your Future by Accessing Grace or Blocking Grace.
Proverbs 18:21 tells us that “Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.” Your words are not just describing your life; they are creating your life by either accessing grace or blocking grace.
How this applies to you:
— Every word you speak is either opening the door for grace to manifest or closing the door to grace in your life. Words of faith open the door to grace; words of fear close the door to grace.
— When you speak the language of faith, you’re giving God something to work with because faith-filled words create an atmosphere where grace can operate freely. You are agreeing with God.
— If you constantly speak negative words about your health, your finances, or your relationships, you’re creating a faith blockage that prevents grace from manifesting in those areas. You are blocking your blessings with your lips.
— Death and life are in the power of your tongue. If you love speaking life, you’ll eat the fruit of life. If you love speaking death and defeat, you’ll eat the fruit of that. Choose to speak life and access grace. You will have whatsoever you say!
— Your words today are shaping your tomorrow. When you speak the language of faith today, you’re accessing grace for your future. I am convinced that most believers have no idea how powerful our words are.
— Stop speaking what you don’t want and start speaking what you do want. In other words, stop speaking contrary to God, His Word, and His promises for your life. God’s grace responds to faith-filled words, not complaining words.
— Monitor your words like you monitor your bank account. Are your words making deposits of faith that access grace, or are they making withdrawals that block grace? Good or bad, you will have what you say. So, be careful what you say!
3. When You Speak the Language of Faith, You’re Not Performing; You’re Obeying.
Here’s a revelation I need you to understand: When God leads you to declare His promises, take action on His Word, or step out in faith, you’re not doing these things to EARN anything. You’re doing them to OBEY. There’s a massive difference between performance and obedience.
How this applies to you:
— Performance says, “I must speak these faith declarations to make God bless me.” Obedience says, “I speak these faith declarations because God told me to speak what He says about my situation.” We are not earning anything. We are just coming in agreement with God.
— When you speak the language of faith, you’re not trying to impress God with your confession. You’re obeying His instruction to call those things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17).
— God may lead you to take specific actions: fill out that application, make that phone call, sow that seed. You’re not doing these things to earn the blessing. You’re doing them to obey the One who has already blessed you.
— The pressure is completely different. Performance creates stress: “Did I say it right? Did I do enough?” Obedience creates rest: “I did what God said, now I can trust Him with the results.”
— Speaking the language of faith is an act of obedience, not an act of earning. God said to speak to mountains, so you speak to them; not to qualify for miracles, but to obey the One who already qualified you by grace.
— When you understand this, your faith declarations become acts of worship, not works of the flesh. You’re honoring God by believing and speaking what He says, not trying to manipulate Him with your words. And you are not commanding God to do anything. That would be like the tail wagging the dog. You are simply coming into agreement with God with your heart and your mouth.
— This is why you can speak the language of faith with confidence. You’re not earning anything; you’re just obeying what God already commanded you to do. And through your obedience, your faith accesses what grace has already provided.
That’s enough for today.
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I declare that I am learning to speak the language of faith fluently!
I believe in my heart and speak with my mouth what grace has already provided.
My words are creating my future by accessing Your grace, not blocking Your grace.
When I speak the language of faith, I’m not performing to earn; I’m obeying to receive.
The language of faith flows from my mouth daily: I am who You say I am, I can do what
You say I can do, and I have what You say I have.
I speak life, blessing, health, provision, and victory over my circumstances.
Death and life are in the power of my tongue, and I choose to speak life.
I speak from obedience, not obligation; from faith, not fear; from grace, not performance.
I am living #TheGraceLife by speaking the language of faith, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!
I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
This is Today’s Word! Apply it and Prosper!
