Today, we continue our series entitled “Laser Focus,” with the point being that we should live with a Laser Focus on the Fixed Purpose God established for us before the world began.

Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.
Today, we will also look at this passage:

24 Generosity brings prosperity, but withholding from charity brings poverty.
25 Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor.
Setting the Stage.
Today is the first day of the third month of the year, and I am still laying the foundation for what I plan to teach this year. I am compelled this morning to reiterate some of the points I’ve previously shared with you. I firmly believe that God speaks to us directly and through prophetic voices to let us know what is coming so we are prepared to make the most of every season. Going into 2024, here is some of what I have heard from God directly and from leaders I respect:
This is a season of the following:
— A season of progression, advancement, and promotion, where your highest expectations will be fulfilled.
— A season of supernatural kindness, where the favor of the Lord will be poured out upon you.
— A bounce-back season, signifying that while the previous years may have been challenges for some, this is a time for supernatural recovery and rebound. Not only will there be restoration, but God will also ensure that the devil provides restitution for our trials. We will reap a harvest on the seeds sown.
That’s the good stuff. But I have also heard the following:
— This will be a year of many distractions. So, while it promises to be a season of advancement for those who remain in faith, distractions will come. This is why I am teaching laser focus—those who get distracted risk missing out on God’s best.
— This is a season where it will be imperative; it is a must that we: 1) stay in faith, 2) remain focused on the promises of God, and 3) refuse to allow what’s happening in the world around us to distract us. If we do these things, our highest expectations (sown in our hearts by God) will be fulfilled.
So, what does this mean to you today? A few things.
1. Embracing the Season of Supernatural Advancement.
— Unwavering Faith: Maintain a steadfast faith in God’s promises. Your faith is the key that unlocks supernatural advancement. Just as Joshua was instructed to meditate on the Word day and night for good success, your relentless focus on God’s promises will usher you into God’s best in this season of fulfillment.
— Divine Alignment: Align your actions, decisions, and thoughts with God’s Word. More than ever, your alignment with God’s will is crucial in this season. It’s not just about being busy; it’s about being strategically positioned in God’s purpose.
— Expectant Heart: Live with expectation for the extraordinary. God wants to exceed your highest expectations, but He requires an expectant heart. Your expectation is the breeding ground for miracles.
— Spirit-Led Decisions: Make decisions based on the leading of the Holy Spirit, not just logical reasoning. This season demands a sensitivity to the divine promptings of the Holy Spirit. As He directs you and you obey, you will experience God’s perfect will for your life.
— Bold Declarations: Speak life and declare God’s promises over your situation. Your words have power, and in this season, declaring God’s Word will activate the atmosphere for advancement and promotion. You will have whatsoever you say!
2. Guarding Against Distractions in a Promised Season.
— Focused Priorities: Identify and prioritize God-given assignments. Knowing what God has called you to in this season is essential to avoid the trap of distractions. Keep the main thing the main thing.
— Spiritual Discipline: Strengthen your spiritual disciplines (prayer, fasting, reading the Word) to stay spiritually alert. Distractions lose their power when your spirit is fortified with the truth of God’s Word.
— Godly Community: Surround yourself with believers who encourage and support your divine focus. Just as Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms, you need a community that upholds you in your pursuit of God’s purpose.
— Rejecting Fear and Doubt: Actively resist fear and doubt, which are tools the enemy uses to distract and derail you. Remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.
— Stewardship of Time: Be intentional about how you spend your time. Time is a resource that God has entrusted to you, and in this season, how you manage it determines how much you align with God’s timetable for your life.
3. Cultivating a Lifestyle of Generosity and Favor.
— Living Generously: Embrace generosity not just as an act but as a lifestyle. Your open-handedness is a conduit for God’s favor and blessings, not only to flow to you but through you.
— Expect Favor: Walk daily with the expectation of God’s favor. Expect doors to open, opportunities to arise, and God’s blessings to manifest because you are sowing generously into the lives of others.
— Spiritual Awareness: Be spiritually attuned to recognize and seize opportunities for generosity. God often prompts us to give in ways that might seem small but are significant in the kingdom.
— Guard Your Heart: Protect your heart from greed and selfishness. A generous heart is a fertile ground for God’s favor, but it requires vigilance to keep it free from the world’s influence. Don’t develop a love for money or material things, because it will become a blessing blocker!
In closing, GET EXCITED and STAY FOCUSED! Ignore life’s distractions. This is how you will experience God’s best in 2024!
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I declare by faith that I am entering my season of supernatural advancement.
I declare that my heart and actions are aligned with Your fixed purpose for my life.
I reject all distractions, focusing solely on the path You have set before me.
I commit to living generously, knowing my actions trigger an overflow of Your favor.
I expect daily manifestations of Your favor, recognizing them as signs of Your presence and love.
I pledge to use Your blessings not just for my benefit but as a means to bless others.
I embrace Your supernatural peace, which guards my heart and mind through every season.
I rely on Your grace and strength to overcome challenges and embrace opportunities.
I rejoice in the assurance that You are always with me, guiding my steps into the victory You have already provided!
I look forward to a year of fulfilled expectations, divine alignments, and miraculous breakthroughs.
GREATER IS COMING FOR ME! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. AMEN!
