Grace for the Space

by Rick

As we prepare for this year I have been praying about the messages I should share with you that I preached last year.  The message I share with you today, entitled, “Grace for the Space,” is about the grace God gives us to wait on the manifestation of His promises.  I love it when God promises something and then immediately does it.  Those occasions are awesome, but they are few and far between.  Most of the time there is a space between the promise and the performance, and in that space the devil tries to stir up problems.  Most of the time there is a space between the confession and the completion, and in that space the devil tries to stir up confusion.  But just like God gives you grace for everything else, He also gives you the grace to endure the time required see the manifestation of His best.

Everything we do as a believer, we are to do by faith:

1.  We are saved by grace, through faith: (Eph 2:8,9).

2.  We are to walk by faith: (2 Cor 5:7 KJV).

3.  We are to live by faith:  (Rom 1:17, Gal 3:11, Heb 10:38, and Hab 2:4)

4.  We are to pray by faith: (James 5:15)

6.  We are to fight the fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12)

7.  We are called to overcome the world by faith (1 Jn 5:4).

Grace + Faith (Together) = Victory

1.  The Father reveals to us what He has already given us by His grace.

2.  By faith we access the grace and we believe we receive when we pray.

3.  We have the audacity to take God public.  We call those things that be not as though they were.

4.  We stand in faith until we SEE with our eyes, what we have SEEN in our Spirit.

5.  We then WAIT IN FAITH!

Important Note:

1.  God does not DO IT, because YOU HAVE FAITH!

2.  You HAVE FAITH, because it’s ALREADY DONE!

*** How You Wait WILL IMPACT HOW LONG You Wait!***

While you are waiting:

1.  Don’t Quit Before Harvest Time

(Gal 6:7-9 NLT)  Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.  Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.  So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

2.  Add Patience to Your Faith!

(Heb 6:12 NIV)  We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

(Heb 10:36 NLT)  Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will.  Then you will receive all that he has promised.

1.  If you have faith without patience you will confess and believe, but then give up over time.

2.  If you have patience without faith, you will suffer-long, but you will never change your situation.

3.  ***But if you have faith and patience, you will stand and believe until you SEE what you SAY!

3.  Tap into JOY and PEACE!

(Rom 15:13 NASB)  Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1.  Our God is the God of Hope!

2.  You can have Supernatural Hope!

3.  We have a hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).

*** When you have the expectancy of HOPE and the serenity of PEACE, you can stand for the long haul!

4.  If you are facing it, then you have the GRACE for it!

(1 Cor 10:13 KJV)  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1.  If you are facing it, then YOU CAN TAKE IT!

2.  If you are facing it, then GOD TRUSTS YOU WITH IT!

3.  If you are facing it, then YOU HAVE THE GRACE FOR IT!

Closing Confession:  Father, I thank You for being so good to me.  You called me from my mother’s womb.  You made plans for me before the foundations of the world.  You blessed me by Your unearned grace.  As You reveal Your will to me, I am quick to believe it.  I open my heart to receive it.  I open my mouth to declare it.  I am not afraid of taking You public.  By faith I declare what I have already seen in my heart (in the Spirit) and I know it is just a matter of time before I see it in my hands (in the natural).  I speak the language of faith.  I call those things that be not as though they are, and I wait, in faith, to see them come to pass.  While I am waiting, I have the grace to hold on in faith for the long haul.  I will not give in, cave in or quit.  I will not cast away my confidence.  I will not relax the grip I have on my faith.  I will not allow what I see to cause me to change what I say.  I will not, because You will not.  You will not give up on me, and by faith I declare that I will not give up on You.  I add patience to my faith.  I believe it is already done.  And I have the grace to wait in expectation, no matter how long it takes.  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
