(John 14:12 NLT)  “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing” by continuing to teach on “Minimizing Your Humanity and Maximizing Your Divinity.”  A few weeks ago I was led to start this mini-series and I had no idea how long it would go.  I was just being led of the Holy Spirit, like I attempt to do all the time, and God never ceases to amaze me as He leads me to do what He wants done.  After three weeks and 15 messages, I hope you can see by now that Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, and He only said what He heard the Father say.  This would be good enough if it only applied to Jesus.  However, in today’s verse, John 14:12, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”  Are you an “anyone”?  Do you believe on Jesus?  Well then, guess what, Jesus expects you to do what He did.

So what does this mean to you today?  A few things.

1.  Called to do what Jesus did.  When Jesus said that we would do the “same works” He did, He was not saying that we have to multiply fish or speak to a storm.  But what He was saying is that God is supposed to use us, just like He used His Son Jesus in the earth.  The Father told Jesus where to go, how to get there, and what to say when He got there.  The Father provided the words and He performed the supernatural work.  The Father did it for Jesus and He will willingly do the same for us.  God is looking to influence the earth.  He wants to bring heaven down to the earth, and to do it, He needs people who are submitted today, like Jesus was submitted back then.

2.  Called to live like Jesus lived.  In order to be used of the Father like Jesus was used, we must do what Jesus did.  Jesus minimized His humanity, He submitted to the Father in all things, He put the Father’s will above His own, and He died to self.  You and I are called to live the same way.  God can do through us what He did through Jesus, but we must die to self like Jesus died to self.  We must deny our flesh and selfish impulses, submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and allow God to use us like He used Jesus.  If we do, we will experience the supernatural life He birthed us to have and enjoy.

3.  Called to make an impact like Jesus made.  Jesus provided a surrendered human body and the Father provided supernatural leading and power.  The combination of Jesus’ surrender and the Father’s commitment to use Him, resulted in Jesus making a divine impact everywhere He went.  Jesus touched countless lives and His impact is still being felt today.  Do you want to be used of God?  Do you want to impact the world?  Do you want to leave an indelible mark on the lives of others?  You can, if you allow God to do it through you.  The Lord wants to impact the people and the systems of the world and He will do it through you, if you let Him.

Closing Confession:  Father, I thank You for making me an Ambassador of heaven by Your grace.  I don’t deserve to represent You or Your Kingdom, here in the earth, but Jesus made me worthy.  Jesus qualified me by grace and accept the appointment.  I represent You everywhere I go.  I submit to You every day, in every way.  I minimize ME, so You can maximize YOU through me.  You bring me before the right people, at the right times, in the right places, and You then give me the right words to say.  You put Your Super on my natural, enabling me to operate in the Supernatural.  You use me, just like You used Jesus, because I am surrendered like Jesus was surrendered.  I die to self.  I humble myself before You.  I willingly give you my life.  I come to You as a human, in the earth, surrendered to and ready to be empowered by heaven.  As I say what You lead me to say, and do what You lead me to do, I declare by faith that I will be just like Jesus and You will impact the world through me.  Your grace and power have come TO me, and they now flow THROUGH me, leaving a mark that will never be erased.  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
