See Life Through God’s Eyes

by Rick

This morning we continue our series, “Grace that is Simply Amazing” by continuing with our mini-series entitled, “Grace Based Success (Prosperity)”.  Yesterday we learned that it is God who works in us, by His grace.  God gives us the desire to want to do what He called us to do and along with the desire, He gives us the supernatural power to do it.  This is important to understand, because it puts the spotlight of our lives squarely on God (not us), and it drives home the message of God’s unearned and amazing grace.

Today’s message flows in the same vein.  In 1 Corinthians 12 the Apostle Paul discusses 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit uses us, as humans, both individually and collectively to be the universal Body of Christ.  Before Paul went into detail about the 9 gifts, the Apostle said the following:

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they are all from the same Spirit.  There are different ways to serve, but we serve the same Lord.  And there are different ways that God works in people, but it is the same God who works in all of us to do everything” (1 Corinthians 12:4-6 ERV).

So what does this mean to you today?  A few things.

1.  Your divine giftings are as unique as your divine assignment.  You are special in God’s eyes.  Embrace your uniqueness and walk in your calling.

2.  God knows what He called each and every one of us to do.  Along with the calling, God has put His Spirit and a unique set of divine gifts in each of us, so that we are equipped to do what we are called to do.

3.  Regardless of your calling, or the divine gifts that go along with it, it is still God working in you, both to will and to do His good purpose.

4.  When you understand the fact that God is working through every believer — in unique ways, in accordance with His unique callings, empowered by His unique gifts — then you will see no need for competitive jealousy.  The same God working in you is working in others, so there is no need to compete.

5.  When you understand grace you enter into God’s rest.  You know the assignment came from God, the giftings you will need come from God, the favor to get it done comes from God, and the empowering presence of God will see you through every challenge, over every obstacle, and past every attack, on the way to the fulfillment of your divine purpose.

6.  God called you from the foundations of the world, He saved you with the Blood of His Son Jesus, He filled you with His precious Holy Spirit, He gifted you with unique spiritual gifts, He graces you to accomplish His will, and He works through you to do what He has called you to do.  This is amazing.  This is grace.  This is God.  This is love.  This is powerful.  When you understand this, you won’t ever see a challenge you cannot overcome, because you know God is ON you, IN you, WITH you and FOR you!

7.  When you get to the point where you fully understand that God Himself is working IN you to do what He has called you to do, you release the pressure, you enter into God’s rest, you get excited, you surrender to God, you yield to allow God’s power to flow through you, and you see life differently, because you get to see life through God’s eyes!

Closing Confession:  Father, I thank You for teaching me about Your amazing grace.  The more I study Your grace, the more I fall in love with You, the more I am able to accept and celebrate others, the more I release the pressure on my life for my own success, and the more I die to self.  I now see no need to stress over myself or to overly concern myself with others.  Your grace has freed me from competitive jealousy and the stress that comes from self-reliance and self-effort.  I release all the pressures of this world.  I fully embrace You, Your grace, Your giftings, Your assignment, Your love, and Your power.  You saved me with the Blood of Your Son Jesus.  Jesus paid a price I could not pay for a debt He did not owe.  I will never cease to give You praise for Jesus.  Not only did You save me Father, but I now know that You called me from the foundations of the world, You filled me with Your precious Holy Spirit, You gifted me with gifts I need to accomplish Your will, You favor me with others, and You tirelessly work through me to accomplish Your will for my life, before I die.  It is all about You.  It is in YOU that I live, and move, and have my being.  You are my source, my strength, my rock, my fortress… in You do I trust.  I decrease, that You may increase through me.  I minimize me, so that You can maximize YOU through me.  I believe I will arrive at Your desired destination for my life, because I know You are the one who is actually working through me.  I will get there by Your grace and I will make Kingdom impact along the way for Your glory.  I am excited about my life because I see it through Your eyes!  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!
This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
