Merry Christmas!

by Rick

This morning I will share my final message of 2014.  The next message I share will be on January 5th, 2015.  This has been a great year for me and my family.  I trust it has been a great year for you as well.  I started teaching on grace in September 2012 and now, 27 months later, we are still growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The current mini-series we are in, “Grace Based Success (Prosperity)”, has been a great blessing to me and countless others.  This mini-series already has over 120 messages (and videos).

As I close out the year I want to share a few things with you.  First, if you have not already, you should download the Rick Piña Ministries App (available for Apple iOS, Android and Windows Mobile).  Here is the link to download the App: http://goo.gl/uGV2Mb.  You can read Today’s Word in the App and it also has access to hundreds of videos (full sermons and Today’s Word videos), all free of charge.

Next, I want to bring your attention to our websites.  The Today’s Word website (www.todaysword.org) has over 10 years of messages and the different series I have taught.  Everything is free of charge and I hope the site will be a blessing to you.  For Spanish speakers, the Spanish version of Today’s Word (www.palabradeldia.org) is also available free of charge.  The Rick Piña Ministries site (www.rickpina.org) also has a wealth of free content and it speaks to some of our missionary work.  This year we were able to bless the less fortunate in the Dominican Republic and within the next few days we are going to give out gifts for Christmas to children who would otherwise receive no gifts.  The site also has a link where you can donate to support our work.

Lastly, I will close out the year with a quick recap of some of the truths we have learned in this series.  Here we go:

  1.  Success in life cannot be measured by what you drive, where you live or the size of your bank account.  True success can only be measured by the degree to which you complete your divine purpose.

  1.  God’s dream for your life is so big that it will require His involvement and His empowerment.  He gives you both by His grace.

  1.  Jesus came to redeem us, to get us out of everything Adam got us into.

  1.  The world’s economy is based on buying-and-selling.  God’s Kingdom economy is based on sowing-and-reaping.

  1.  When you operate with God’s grace your success will not be effortless, but it will be sweatless.

  1.  True prosperity in life is found by focusing and trusting in Jesus.  He made plans for you before the world began.  Your prosperity is connected to your purpose.

  1.  When you trust in God’s love for you, you will believe His plan and His promises, you will rely on His grace, and you will enter into His rest.

  1.  Your faith will be strong when you are convinced God loves you and that He wants to use you by His grace, not because you are so good.

  1.  Living by faith based on God’s grace means that you expect to succeed in life because God loves you, not because your actions are perfect or your performance is flawless.

  1.  Under The Law the spotlight was on man and the focus was on what man did for God.  Under grace the spotlight is on God and the focus is on what God does for us!

My final message to you this year is simple.  As you celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, please also embrace what He came to give you.  The gifts under the tree are fine, and the parties are good, but the greatest gift God has ever given is eternal life.  That life is in His Son.  As John said, “He that has the Son of God has life.”  This life has been freely offered to the world by God’s unearned and amazing grace.  Embrace the life Jesus died to give you, embrace the grace He opened the door for your to walk through, and embrace the divine purpose God made for you before the world began.  If you do, you will live an amazing, rewarding, fulfilling and history-making life!

From our family to yours, may you have a blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Instead of closing with a confession, today I will close with a prayer for you.

My Prayer for You:   Father, I thank You for giving me the access to come directly to You in the same of Your Son, my Savior, Jesus the Christ.  I pray for the person receiving this message.  I stand in the gap for them.  I ask You to bless them richly, to fill their heart with Your peace, to flood their bodies with Your love, and to help them to truly embrace Your grace.  As they close out 2014 and prepare for 2015, may You give them the grace to be delivered from self and self-effort.  May stress fall off of them quickly as they embrace Your grace to succeed in life.  May You open their eyes, that they may see all You want to do in, with and through them in this season.  May You fill their homes with peace and love, so they can come home to a sanctuary where they can be renewed, restored, revived and regenerated.  May You connect them with the right people, so they can both receive and release Your best.  And Father, most importantly, may You reveal your divine purpose to them, so they can follow it and finish it, by Your grace and for Your glory, before they die.  May they die empty, having accomplished their divine purpose.  This is my prayer and I pray it in faith!  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
