This morning we continue our new series for 2017 entitled, “The Year of Supernatural Manifestation”. As I prayed over what to share with you, the Father began to speak to me about the faith that will be required to access His grace in 2017. I have told you many times that God does what He does for us by grace, but He requires us to do what we do for Him and towards Him by faith. It is our faith that accesses His grace for the victory. While I was meditating faith this morning, the Father said, “Get your faith ready”. So, that is what I will teach on in today’s message.
Just about everything we do in our walk with God we do by faith. When we came to God and we were Born-Again, Ephesians 2:8,9 teaches us that we were saved by God’s unearned grace, but we accessed God’s grace for salvation with our faith. In 2 Corinthians 5:7 the Bible teaches us that we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. In Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38, the Bible tells us that the just shall live by faith. In James 5:15 the Bible tells us that we can pray the prayer of faith and see the sick healed. In 1 Timothy 6:12 the Bible tells us that we are called to fight the good fight of faith; and a good fight is one where WE WIN! In 1 John 5:4 the Bible tells us that every person who is born of God has overcome the world and we actually overcome the world with our faith. So, if you are a believer, the Bible teaches you that after you were saved by faith, you are supposed to walk by faith, live by faith, pray by faith, fight by faith and overcome the world by faith. If 2017 is going to be a year of Supernatural Manifestation for you, if it is going to be a year of Great Victory, it will be so by God’s grace, but it will not come without your faith!
Get your faith ready!
So what does this mean to you today? Two things.
1. The enemy gets a vote.
a) In the military we have phrase: “The enemy gets a vote”. What this means is that you can prepare the best battle plans, but once you encounter the first point of contact with the enemy, he gets a vote and your plans may go out the window.
b) Right now you are excited about 2017. The Lord is speaking to you about this year. You are laying out your vision, plan, goals, and etc., but just remember, satan is not going to sit by idly while you pursue your dreams. He will do all he can to derail you from your destiny. That is why you must build up your faith and then maintain your faith as you pursue God’s best for your life this year.
c) Satan cannot stop God. He knows he cannot stop the plans God made for you. But he also knows that YOU can stop God. YOU can choose to give up, cave in and quit. So, satan does all he can to cause you to throw in the towel. If you quit, satan did not stop you, YOU STOPPED YOURSELF! This is why it is important for you to develop and maintain your faith this year and every year.
2. You will have to activate/release your faith to access divine victory.
a) Getting excited about the things God reveals to you about 2017 is great, but don’t think God’s blessings are just going to come to you on a silver platter. No, if you want God’s best, you are going to have to pursue it by faith.
b) Faith is an action word. Faith is something you say, something you do, or something you sow (financially). If you want to see the manifestation of the things God is revealing to you for this season, you are going to have to activate/release your faith for it.
c) Your faith is going to have to GO GET what God’s grace has already provided. So, get your faith ready. 2017 is going to be the best year of your life!
Closing Confession: Father, I thank You for giving me the faith of Jesus and for blessing me to use my faith to access Your grace. I was saved by faith and I am not going to hell. I walk by faith and not by sight. I live by faith every second of every day. I pray the prayer of faith and see the sick healed. I fight the good fight of faith and I win by Your grace. I overcome the world by faith. I am a world overcomer. I overcome every challenge, hindrance, obstacle and battle on the road to my destiny. I do this all by faith. Your grace is there, my faith is ready, and 2017 shall be the best year of my life! I declare this by faith! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
