Today we continue our new series entitled, “Heaven on Earth,” by teaching on God’s Kingdom. I will focus on two scriptures primarily. Here they are:
(Colossians 1:12,13 KJV)
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.
(Luke 17:21 GNT)
No one will say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’; because the Kingdom of God is within you.”
So what does this mean to you today? A few things.
1. The day you were Born-Again several things happened:
a) You were translated from satan’s darkness into God’s marvelous light (1 Pet 2:9).
b) You were translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear son (Col 1:13).
c) You were seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Eph 2:6).
d) You were covered by the Blood of Jesus (1 Jn 1:17), sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13), and called to God’s eternal purpose for your life (Eph 3:11).
2. When you understand all that happened when you were Born-Again, you know you are no longer natural to this world.
a) Once you are Born-Again the supernatural is supposed to be natural to you.
b) Once you are Born-Again you are a citizen of heaven (Phil 3:20).
c) You are in God’s Kingdom now and God’s Kingdom is also in you. It’s a whole new world. The old has gone, the new has come (2 Cor 5:17).
3. While you have changed, you will never experience the benefits of the change until you change the way you think.
a) Once you are Born-Again, you are a new man, in an old body, in need of a new mind.
b) Your mind must be renewed to embrace your new reality. Once you are in God’s Kingdom, you have access to God’s limitless power and resources. But you must open your heart to them.
c) Satan wants to keep you bound to the limits of this world. But once you are Born-Again, the limits of this world no longer apply to you. Our limitless God actually lives INSIDE of you. There is nothing you can’t do, because there is nothing He can’t do!
d) If satan can keep you limited to thinking like this world and approaching every challenge from the limits of this world, you will never accomplish what God sent you into the world to accomplish.
e) You are not the same as you used to be. You don’t have to think like the world thinks. You should not face challenges the same way the world does. You are born from above. You are a citizen of heaven. God Himself lives IN you! You are not bound to this world. You are IN the world, but not OF this world.
4. Live Kingdom-minded.
a) You are IN the Kingdom and the Kingdom is IN you (Col 1:13, Luke 17:21). God placed you IN Him and He placed Himself IN you. When you embrace this truth, it changes the way you look at yourself and your future.
b) You are a Kingdom citizen. Your home-nation is heaven. Your host-nation is this world. You are supposed to show this world what heaven is like. Why? Because that’s where you’re from!
c) When you remind yourself that you are a heavenly citizen living in this world, you no longer see things from a worldly point of view. I will close with the words of Paul. He said, “From this time on we don’t think of anyone as the world thinks of people… we don’t think that way now. When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone; suddenly, everything is new! All this is from God.” (2 Cor 5:16-18 ERV).
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I thank You placing me IN Your Kingdom and for placing Your Kingdom IN me! I embrace this truth. I am a citizen of heaven. So I die to human limits and boundaries. I die to this limits of this world. I am IN the world, but I am not OF this world. As Jesus is, in heaven, so am I, in this world. I live my life based on a higher reality. Whatever You tell me to do, I do. Whatever You tell me to say, I say. Living this way I will get more done, work harder, and make more of an impact, because it won’t be me doing it. It will be You Father, living in me, giving me the words and performing the work! I enter this day knowing I am naturally supernatural. There is nothing I can’t do. I can do ALL THINGS through Christ, and I WILL! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
This is Today’s Word. Apply it and prosper!
