God's Grace & Our Faith (Part 76): It’s Already Done (Part 14) - You Must Be Processed For Your Purpose!

by Rick
Today we will continue our series entitled “God’s Grace & Our Faith.” We are looking at The Law given under Moses vs. the Grace provided by Jesus. Our primary scriptures are John 1:14 & 17.  Yesterday we also looked at 2 Peter 1:1-4.  We will look at these again today.     (John 1:14 New International Version) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.   (John 1:17 New International Version) For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.   (2 Peter 1:1-4) Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.   For the past couple of days I have been focusing on this line: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him…”  I will flow in this same vein today.   So what does this mean to you today?  A few things.
  1. You lack nothing.
The Bible says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him…” (2 Peter 1:3). The more we meditate on this, the more truth God reveals concerning it. Let’s look at some other scriptures as well.   — The Bible teaches us that God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing we will ever need, in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus (Eph 1:3).   — The Bible teaches us that we were chosen in God, having been predestined according to God’s plan (Eph 1:11). The Passion Translation of Eph 1:11 reads, “Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance.   Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart.”   — The Bible teaches us that we are literally God’s handiwork. We were created in His image and likeness (Gen 1:26). Not only that, but when we were Born-again, we were recreated in Christ Jesus to do specific good works. Ephesians 2:10 reads, “God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.”   — If you believe what the Bible says about God’s preparation for your arrival and your subsequent success (because He prepared for you to actually DO what He birthed you to do), then you must conclude that everything you need has already been provided. God did not send you to the earth to fail. He sent you to the earth to fulfill His purpose. And the only way God can truly expect you to complete it is if He already provided everything you need to do so!   — In God’s mind, you lack nothing. If in your mind you see lack, it is because you are NOT getting your perspective from God. Remember, Peter, said that we gain the revelation of what God has provided “through the knowledge of him.” The more we walk with God and the more revealed knowledge we receive, the more we learn of God’s plans for us and what He has already provided!
  1. All things that pertain to life.
  — God has already provided everything you will ever need in life.  He prepared for your arrival, and He then works with you to prepare you for what He prepared.   — Everything you will ever need in life (earthly resources, startup capital, equipment, access to education and information, access to open doors and divine connections, key relationships, etc.) has already been prepared for you by God because He wants His plans to succeed.   — Everything you need has already been stored up for God’s plan for your life.  This is why it is critically important that you make your life about God and not you!  The things you need for your selfish desires have NOT been stored up. But everything you need for God’s desires has!   — This is why the line, “through the knowledge of him,” is so important. If you pursue the wrong things (selfish desires), you will be making demands on God for something He DID NOT prepare for you. Frustration sets in when we make a demand on God for something that is NOT ours!  God never signed up to give you your selfish desires. He only signed up to manifest HIS PLANS!   Don’t forget to consider God’s timing. While it is true that every earthly thing you need to complete your divine assignment has already been prepared, it will not manifest before its time. This is why you must develop both patience and discernment. You need the discernment to know when it is God’s timing and the patience to wait until that time comes.
  1. All things that pertain to godliness.
  — While you will have to wait on God’s timing for the external resources to manifest, the internal issues are not a matter of timing.  They are a matter of development. God has already blessed you with every spiritual gift required to become the man/woman you are called to be, but these gifts must be developed.   — You must develop the character required to be able to carry the weight of the anointing associated with your assignment.   — God has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing. Now it’s just a matter of development. The more you die to self and grow in Christ, the more God’s spiritual gifts will be made manifest in your life.   — You have a divine purpose, but you must also endure the processing required to walk it out!   — God will not release His blessing BEFORE you have the character required to handle it. Because if He did, then what was supposed to be a blessing can wind up being a curse. This is why you must work on your own development daily. You must spend time in God’s Word to know His character, attributes, and ways. You must spend time with God’s Spirit so you can learn to discern His voice. You must put God’s teaching into action so that He can shape your character and conduct. The bottom line is that you are called by God, but you must work on becoming the person you are called to be! Many are called, but few are willing to endure the processing required to walk in the fulness of the assignment.  My prayer for you is that you become so dedicated to the process that you endure whatever you need to endure, so you can become the man/woman you are destined to be, so God can leave a mark in this world through you that will not easily be erased!       Declaration of Faith   Father, I thank You for teaching me about Your grace and my requirement to live by faith.     Your Spirit is constantly revealing to me what I was born to do. I believe and receive my divine assignment, and I am committed to enduring the processing required to walk in the fulness of it.   As I am processed and I become the man/woman I was born to be, I declare that I will live the remainder of my days DOING what I was born to do.     I will leave a mark in this world that will not easily be erased because You have already given me ALL THINGS that pertain to life and godliness.     There are no excuses! There is nothing You can’t do, and You live IN me. Therefore, I will change the world by Your grace and for Your glory! As I do, I know GREATER IS COMING FOR ME! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.   This is Today’s Word! Apply it and Prosper.
