It Can Happen To Anyone - How 14 Years of Ministry It Can Happen To Anyone - How 14 Years of Ministry Partnership Can Be Undermined in One Moment.

What should shock us the most about this passage isn't Peter's compromise--it's that "even Barnabas was swept away by their duplicity." Barnabas had been Paul's ministry partner for 14 years. He'd traveled with Paul, planted churches with him, faced persecution with him, and knew the grace message intimately. Yet, in what was probably just a few days or weeks, 14 years of partnership and training was undermined by peer pressure.

How this applies to you:

-- Understand that longevity in ministry doesn't guarantee immunity from error. Barnabas wasn't a new convert. He was a seasoned leader with over a decade of ministry experience. Time in service doesn't automatically equal maturity in judgment. You can have years of experience and still make poor choices when the pressure is on.

-- Recognize that even your most trusted spiritual partners can disappoint you. Paul probably expected Peter to struggle with this issue since Peter primarily ministered to Jews. But Barnabas? The shock wasn't just the compromise--it was WHO compromised. The people you least expect to fail sometimes do.

-- Proverbs 13:20 teaches us that both wisdom and foolishness can be transferred by association. Proximity to compromise can override years of training. This is why you must choose your associations wisely. The environment you're in can influence you more than the training you've received.

-- Learn that influence is more powerful than information. Barnabas had all the information he needed about grace, but Peter's influence in the moment was stronger than Paul's teaching over 14 years. Who you're around can override what you know, especially if you're not walking in your own convictions.

-- This lesson is not just one about how to handle conflict; it drives home the importance of developing and maintaining Godly character.
Restoration Requires Both Parties to Choose Grace Restoration Requires Both Parties to Choose Grace Over Grudges.

For Peter and Paul's relationship to be restored, both men had to make choices. Paul had to confront in love, not anger. Peter had to receive correction with humility, not defensiveness. Restoration is a partnership, not a solo effort.

How this applies to you:

-- If you're the one who confronted, don't hold the person's mistake against them after they've corrected it. Paul didn't continue to bring up Peter's hypocrisy in future interactions. Once someone has received your correction and changed, let the past stay in the past.

-- If you're the one who was confronted, don't hold the confrontation against the person who corrected you. Peter didn't resent Paul for calling him out publicly. He honored him for it. Choose gratitude over grudges when someone helps you see the truth.

-- Understand that pride is the enemy of restoration, while humility is its greatest friend. Both men had to lay down their pride. Paul to confront and Peter to receive.

-- Learn to separate the message from the messenger when receiving correction. Sometimes, God uses imperfect people to deliver perfect truth. Don't reject valid corrections just because you don't like how it was delivered or who delivered it. Many people choose to attack the messenger instead of hearing God's voice in the message.

-- Practice the art of letting people grow beyond their mistakes. Peter's later writings show tremendous maturity and wisdom. Paul didn't define Peter by his moment of weakness. Give people room to grow beyond the version of themselves that disappointed you.
True Leaders Learn to Receive Correction as Well a True Leaders Learn to Receive Correction as Well as Give It.

Peter's response to Paul's confrontation reveals something profound about his character: he was secure enough in his identity to receive correction without defensiveness. This is what separates true leaders from insecure ones.

How this applies to you:

-- Secure people can receive correction because their identity isn't threatened by being wrong. Peter knew who he was in God, so Paul's correction didn't shake his confidence. When you know God's grace has already accepted you, criticism doesn't destroy you.

-- Learn to separate your actions from your identity when receiving correction. What you did is not who you are. Paul criticized what Peter did, not who Peter was. Peter understood this distinction.

-- Recognize that defensiveness reveals insecurity, while openness reveals maturity. Defensive people deflect, blame, and make excuses. Mature people listen, learn, and adjust. Your response to correction reveals your level of spiritual maturity.

-- Understand that the ability to receive correction is a leadership qualification. Leaders who can't be corrected become dangerous to those they lead. If you can't receive input, you shouldn't give direction.

-- Remember that God often uses other people to show you your blind spots. Peter couldn't see his own hypocrisy until Paul pointed it out. Stay open to correction because God may be speaking to you through someone else.

-- Learn to thank people who care enough to confront you in love. Years later, Peter publicly acknowledged Paul's wisdom. Instead of holding grudges against those who correct you, learn to honor them for their courage.

-- Practice saying, "You're right" when you're confronted with truth. This simple phrase can transform conflicts into growth opportunities. Humility opens the door to restoration faster than any other response.

Confronting Conflict in Love 1. Confront with Lov Confronting Conflict in Love

1. Confront with Love:
How you confront an issue determines whether you build up or tear down--always address issues in love rather than anger or accusation.

2. Separate Person from Problem:
When addressing conflict, focus on the behavior, not the individual's character--separate the person from their actions to invite change without defensiveness.

3. Correct Actions, Not Identity:
Like Paul did with Peter, challenge actions that are wrong instead of labeling someone as their mistake--call out the deed, not the doer.

4. Protect the Mission:
When behavior threatens the mission or unity, it must be confronted--leaders have a duty to ensure the greater cause isn't compromised by the acts of a few.

5. Leaders Set the Standard:
Those in leadership shape the culture--when leaders falter, others will follow, so leaders must embody accountability and uphold the standard.

6. Responsibility Comes with Leadership:
Leadership isn't just a position--it's a trust. Leaders are accountable, both to maintain the mission's integrity and to give others an example worth following.

7. Maintain Unity through Accountability:
Address divisive behavior openly and constructively, to preserve unity and keep others--including fellow leaders--from being drawn into error.

🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE 2025 - Sharing God's Lov 🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE 2025 - Sharing God's Love Through Education! 🎒

Every child deserves the opportunity to start their school year with hope, dignity, and the tools they need to succeed. That's why Rick & Isabella Pina Ministries will provide disadvantaged communities in the Dominican Republic with backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children who need them most. Last year we gave out 750 backpacks and this year we will give out 1,000.

We have a school in the Dominican Republic that provides a Christ-centered education to over 200 disadvantaged children (free of charge), and this effort goes beyond our students and reaches many other students in neighboring communities.

Each backpack contains notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, and other essential supplies that transform a child's educational experience. For many of these children, this backpack represents hope, opportunity, and tangible evidence that someone cares about their future.
If you would like to be part of this, you can make a tax-deductible donation at ripministries.org/donate.

As we've learned through decades of ministry work, education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. When we invest in a child's education, we're investing in their future, their family's future, and their community's future.

Conflict, Done God's Way, Can Deepen Relationships Conflict, Done God's Way, Can Deepen Relationships.

This confrontation didn't end the friendship between Paul and Peter. In fact, 2 Peter 3:15 shows Peter later referring to "our dear brother Paul" and acknowledging the wisdom God gave him. This teaches us that confrontation done in love actually strengthens relationships.

How this applies to you:

-- Temporary tension can lead to permanent trust. When someone cares enough about you to risk conflict for your good, it actually builds a deeper relationship. People respect those who love them enough to tell them the truth.

-- Authentic relationships require the freedom to disagree. Shallow relationships avoid conflict; deep relationships work through it. If you can't disagree with someone, you don't really have a relationship with them.

-- Since Paul was willing to confront Peter when necessary, his words carried more weight in future discussions.

-- I know a person who used to be one of my best friends. He thought I said something (which, to this day, I do not believe I said), and he got offended. Instead of talking to me about it, he withdrew, and even though I tried many times to restore the relationship, it was lost. I never had an issue with him. If he had a problem with me, and he loved me, he should have addressed it. Even if I was wrong, the relationship would have still been intact.

-- Learn to disagree without becoming disagreeable. Paul confronted the issue firmly but maintained love for Peter as a person. You can be strong in your convictions while remaining kind in your approach.

-- Remember that iron sharpens iron through friction, not comfort. Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This happens through healthy friction, not constant agreement. The people who challenge you the most often help you grow the most.

-- Understand that avoiding necessary conflict isn't love—it's fear. Paul could have stayed silent to preserve peace, but that would have been selfish, and his respect for Peter would have been lost. Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is create the necessary tension for someone's growth.
Effective Communicators Use Penetrating Questions Effective Communicators Use Penetrating Questions to Create Understanding.

Look at how Paul ended his confrontation: "If you, who are a Jew, live like a non-Jew when it's convenient, how can you force non-Jews to live like Jews?" He used a penetrating question that helped Peter see the contradiction in his own behavior.

How this applies to you:

-- Penetrating questions help people take self-inventory, while accusations lead to defensiveness. When Paul asked Peter about the contradiction in his behavior, he forced Peter to examine himself rather than just defend himself.

-- Use questions to reveal inconsistencies gently but firmly. Paul didn't have to list all of Peter's failures. One well-crafted question exposed the entire problem. Sometimes, one penetrating question accomplishes more than a lengthy speech.

-- Help people see the logical consequences of their actions. Paul's question showed Peter where his behavior was leading: forcing Gentiles to become Jews to be fully accepted. Good questions help people see the trajectory of their choices.

-- Frame questions around larger principles, not just personal behavior. Paul connected Peter's actions to the overall theological implications. This approach helps people understand why change is necessary because they are able to see the bigger picture. They may have initially only considered their immediate actions, which they may have perceived as harmless. But when framed within a broader context, people can see the wider implications.

-- Use questions to create dialogue, not to trap people. Paul's question wasn't a gotcha moment; it was an invitation for Peter to think more deeply. The goal of confrontational questions should be understanding, not humiliation.

-- Remember that the right question can change someone's entire perspective. Paul's question helped Peter see that his "small" compromise was actually a rejection of the Gospel itself.
God Will Give You The Wisdom to Know When to Go Pu God Will Give You The Wisdom to Know When to Go Public.

Paul confronted Peter "in front of everyone" because Peter's compromise was public and affecting others. This teaches us that the scope of the confrontation should match the scope of the problem. If the error affects many, the correction must be
heard by many.

How this applies to you:

-- Private sins require private confrontation; public sins require public correction. Peter's withdrawal wasn't a private struggle—it was a public action that affected the entire church community. When the error is public, correction must also be public to prevent confusion.

-- Consider who is being influenced by the compromise. Paul saw that other Jewish believers and even Barnabas were following Peter's lead. When a leader's actions influence others to compromise, public correction becomes necessary because if you keep the correction private, the negative seeds that were sown will continue to grow. It only takes a little leaven to leaven an entire batch of dough.

-- Public confrontation protects the innocent, not just corrects the guilty. Paul wasn't trying to humiliate Peter; he was protecting the Gentile believers who were being made to feel like second-class citizens.

-- Understand that leadership visibility requires public accountability. The higher your platform, the more public your accountability. Peter was the lead apostle, so his compromise had a greater impact. With greater influence comes greater responsibility for public integrity.

-- Make sure your motivation is protection, not exposure. Paul's goal was to protect the Gospel and the church, not to expose Peter. Public confrontation should always be motivated by love for truth and protection of people, never by a desire to embarrass or retaliate.

-- Be prepared for the discomfort that comes with public truth-telling. Paul risked his relationship with Peter and potential backlash from other leaders. Speaking truth publicly is never comfortable, but sometimes it's necessary.
Grace-Empowered Leadership Confronts the Issue, No Grace-Empowered Leadership Confronts the Issue, Not the Person.

Notice that Paul "opposed him to his face," but he didn't attack Peter's character or calling. Paul confronted Peter's actions and behavior, not his identity or value as an apostle.

How this applies to you:

-- How you confront an issue determines whether you build up or tear down.

-- Learn to separate the person from the problem. Paul didn't say, "Peter, you're a hypocrite." He said, "Your behavior is hypocritical." When you attack someone's character, you shut down the conversation. When you address specific actions, you create the opportunity for discourse and change.

-- Address the behavior that threatens the mission, not the person. Paul wasn't upset because Peter hurt his feelings. He confronted Peter because Peter's actions threatened the Gospel message and the unity of the church. Make sure your confrontations are mission-focused, not ego-driven. If you can demonstrate how a person's actions are hindering the overall mission, they will be more receptive.

-- Remember that grace-empowered leaders confront to restore, not to destroy. Paul's goal wasn't to embarrass Peter or diminish his leadership. His goal was to get Peter back on track with the truth of grace. When you confront in love, your goal is always restoration.

-- Use specific examples, not general accusations. Paul pointed to specific behavior: Peter eating with Gentiles when Jews weren't around, then withdrawing when they came. If your accusations are vague, the person will become defensive. So, use specific examples and be very clear.

-- Focus on the impact of the behavior, not just the behavior itself. Paul explained how Peter's withdrawal was affecting others: "even Barnabas was swept away." Help people see how their actions impact others, not just themselves. Most sensible people will carefully consider what you are saying when it is clear that their actions are negatively impacting others.

-- Confront the compromise before it becomes a pattern. Paul didn't wait to see if Peter would change on his own. He addressed it immediately. Living #TheGraceLife doesn't mean you ignore issues, hoping they'll resolve themselves.
Even The Top Leaders Can Be Wrong Keys: 1. Leade Even The Top Leaders Can Be Wrong

Keys:

1. Leaders Are Human:
No matter your title or position, you are still human and no one is above making mistakes.

2. Titles Don't Guarantee Truth:
Wearing regalia, robes, or carrying prestigious titles doesn't make you infallible; even the highest leaders can be wrong.

3. Status Doesn't Equal Righteousness:
Your position in the church or community, like Peter's in the New Testament, does not prevent you from error.

4. Accountability Within Leadership:
Even great leaders need to be confronted when they are wrong--just as Paul called out Peter.

5. Recognize Leaders' Limitations:
Leaders can have flaws and blind spots; leadership doesn't erase imperfection.

6. Embrace Revealed Blind Spots:
Sometimes you won't know your own weaknesses until someone who cares enough points them out.

Living the Grace Life Means Being Consistent in Pu Living the Grace Life Means Being Consistent in Public and Private.

Peter's problem wasn't that he was living wrong--it was that he was living differently depending on his audience. This inconsistency sent mixed messages about grace and created confusion about what God required.
How this applies to you:

-- Live the same way regardless of who's watching. I am the same guy in church, in Corporate America, at home, and in the grocery store. God's grace gives you the freedom to be authentic in every setting. When you know you're accepted by God, you don't have to perform differently for different audiences.

-- Don't let the fear of judgment cause you to hide your freedom in God or His grace. Peter feared the judgment of the circumcised, so he withdrew from the Gentile fellowship. When you let others' opinions control your behavior, you're not living as your authentic self.

-- Remember that consistency in God and His grace builds trust and credibility. When people see you living the same way in every context, they trust that your faith is real. Inconsistency undermines your witness and confuses those who are watching your life. I have people tell me all the time that my strongest witness is my consistency.

-- Live openly in the grace that Jesus purchased for you. Jesus paid too high a price for your freedom for you to hide it or compromise it. Live boldly in the grace that cost Jesus everything.

-- Remember that your authentic life in grace is your greatest testimony. People are drawn to authenticity, not performance. When you live consistently in grace, you show others what freedom in Christ actually looks like.
Protecting the Truth of Grace Is Worth Any Cost. Protecting the Truth of Grace Is Worth Any Cost.

Paul was willing to risk his relationship with Peter and potentially create division in the church because the truth of grace was non-negotiable. This teaches us that some things are more important than unity, comfort, or human relationships.

How this applies to you:

-- Understand that God's grace is not a secondary issue. It's actually the foundation of the New Covenant. Paul didn't see this as a minor disagreement about table fellowship. He saw it as a threat to the core message of the Gospel. When grace is compromised, everything else is threatened.

-- Be willing to stand alone when necessary. Paul confronted Peter "to his face" and in front of everyone. Sometimes, protecting the truth means being willing to be the only one who speaks up.

-- Sometimes, operating in God's grace may make you look ungracious. But the freedom of God's grace does not mean that everything is accepted. Paul confronted Peter in love, not in hatred. You can defend truth firmly while maintaining a heart of love. Grace doesn't mean you never confront error. It means you do so with the right motivation.

-- Remember that Jesus Himself confronted error directly when truth was at stake. Jesus called the Pharisees "whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean" (Matthew 23:27). He also overturned tables in the temple, drove out the money changers, and declared, "My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers" (Matthew 21:13).

-- Jesus didn't use gentle suggestions when religious leaders were misleading people or corrupting God's house. He used strong, direct action. His confrontations weren't motivated by anger or personal offense, but by love for His Father's house and concern for people being deceived. When the Gospel is being compromised or people are being led astray, defending the truth sometimes requires bold action, not just polite conversation. Jesus shows us that there's a time for gentle teaching and a time for strong correction, and God will give you the wisdom to know the difference.
The Greatest Danger to Grace Is Not Opposition, It The Greatest Danger to Grace Is Not Opposition, It's Compromise.

Peter didn't start preaching against the freedom of God's grace. He simply withdrew from fellowship with Gentile believers. He was fine being around Gentiles when his Jewish convert followers were not around. But when they came around, he disconnected himself from the Gentiles. This seemingly small action had massive implications because it suggested that law-keeping was necessary for full acceptance and that Gentiles were still not truly accepted.

How this applies to you:

-- Recognize that compromise often starts with small actions, not big declarations. Peter didn't preach circumcision. He just stopped eating with uncircumcised believers. Small compromises in your behavior can send big messages about what you really believe.

-- Understand that your actions speak louder than your theology. Peter could say he believed in grace, while his actions suggested otherwise. What you do reveals what you really believe more than what you say.

-- Be aware that the fear of man is often the root of compromise. Peter withdrew because he "was afraid of those who promoted circumcision." When you fear people more than God, you'll compromise God's truth to avoid conflict. Grace gives you the courage to live consistently regardless of who's watching.

-- Remember that compromise is contagious. The text says that "the other Jewish believers joined him in this hypocrisy, to the extent that even Barnabas was swept away." I know that got Paul really upset because Barnabas was his friend. When leaders compromise, others follow. If you are a leader, your compromise doesn't just affect you; it also influences others to compromise.

-- Understand that hypocrisy undermines the power of grace. Paul called Peter's behavior "hypocrisy" because Peter was living in two different ways depending on his audience.

-- Guard against changing your behavior and compromising your convictions to please others. Peter knew better, but pressure caused him to fall back into old patterns. When you're under stress or facing criticism, you can be tempted to abandon God's truth for whatever you deem to be convenient in the moment.
Grace Gives You the Courage to Confront Error, Eve Grace Gives You the Courage to Confront Error, Even in Leadership.

Paul didn't hesitate to confront Peter publicly because Peter's actions threatened the very foundation of the Gospel and everything God was building through Paul. When Peter withdrew from eating with Gentile believers because he feared the circumcised (the Jews), he was cowering to those who were still focused on keeping The Law over the freedom of God's grace.

-- Understand that grace doesn't make you passive; it makes you bold. When you know you're accepted by God and you are empowered by His grace, you don't have to fear man's approval or rejection. Paul could confront Peter because his confidence was in God's grace, not in Peter's approval.

-- I need to point out that Peter was considered the leader of the New Covenant movement, but since he was only ministering to the Jews, he could not see the blind spot he had for the Gentiles. He was so used to being around Jews that he did not even realize he was still holding an issue in his heart against the Gentiles, and when Paul saw this, he called it out.

-- Recognize that sometimes the greatest threat to the power of God's grace comes from within the church. Peter wasn't a false teacher or an enemy of the Gospel. He was the lead apostle! But his fear of man caused him to compromise the message of grace. We just recognize that leaders are still humans, and no one is above error.

-- Don't be intimidated by titles, positions, or reputations when the truth is at stake. Peter was considered the main leader, but when Peter's actions contradicted God's grace, which is basically God's heart for all people, Paul didn't let Peter's status stop him from speaking the truth. We can learn from this.

-- Understand that silence in the face of error can be participation in error. Paul didn't just disagree privately. He confronted Peter publicly because Peter's error was public.

-- Remember that love sometimes requires uncomfortable conversations. Paul loved Peter enough to risk their relationship to save Peter from compromise. Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is tell someone they're wrong, even if this person is a leader.
God Wants Wealthy People to Use Their Resources fo God Wants Wealthy People to Use Their Resources for Good—Not to Get Rid of Them.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 gives clear instructions to those who are wealthy. Notice that God doesn't tell rich people to get rid of their wealth—He tells them how to use their wealth properly. This passage reveals God's heart about wealth and wealthy people.

How this applies to you:

-- Understand that God has no problem with you having money—He has a problem when money has you. The passage tells wealthy people not to be arrogant or put their hope in wealth, but it doesn't tell them to get rid of their wealth. God wants you to be wealthy so you can be a greater blessing to others.

-- Remember that money answers all things in this world. Ecclesiastes 10:19 NIV says, "A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything." This doesn't mean money is the source of happiness, but it does mean that in this earthly realm, money solves practical problems. Money pays for medical bills, provides shelter, feeds families, funds ministry, supports missions, and enables you to be generous. God wants you to have money because He knows that having money allows you to answer needs and solve problems in ways that poverty never could.

-- I will close this point with a major consideration. Money is the least of all riches in God's Kingdom. But remember the principle that you must be faithful over little before God will give you charge over much. In Luke 16:11, Jesus asked the question, "So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?" This means God uses money as a test of your character and faithfulness. If you can't handle money with integrity, generosity, and Kingdom purpose, how can God trust you with spiritual authority, divine revelation, or greater Kingdom assignments? God wants to give you true riches—spiritual power, divine influence, and Kingdom authority—but He first watches how you handle the "little" things like money. Let that sink in.
Get into the Word for Yourself. The greatest mist Get into the Word for Yourself.

The greatest mistake you can make in your spiritual and financial development is depending solely on what others teach you instead of studying God's Word for yourself. You need personal revelation, not secondhand information.

How this applies to you:

-- Develop your own personal Bible study time focused on God's financial principles. Don't just depend on Sunday sermons or devotionals. Set aside time to study passages like Deuteronomy 8:18, 2 Corinthians 9:6-11, and other foundational texts on what the Bible has to say about finances.

-- Study Deuteronomy 28, which gives you the clearest picture of what THE BLESSING and THE CURSE look like in practical terms. THE BLESSING (verses 1-14) describes a life of supernatural favor: your work prospers, your finances increase, you have good health, your children are blessed, you lend to nations but never borrow, and you are the head and not the tail. THE CURSE (verses 15-68) describes a life of struggle: constant financial pressure, sickness, family problems, borrowing with no ability to lend, and being the tail instead of the head. This chapter shows you that God's will is clearly THE BLESSING, not THE CURSE. When you study this chapter, you'll see that financial struggle is not God's will for your life. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the Law so we could walk in the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14).

-- Build your faith on the Word, not on experience or opinion.

-- Understand that personal Bible study leads to personal breakthroughs. When you study God's Word for yourself, you receive fresh revelation that brings fresh results. What you receive directly from God through His Word has more power than what you receive secondhand from others.

-- Don't let religious traditions nullify the Word of God in your life. Many people have been taught that wanting to prosper financially is carnal or selfish. But 3 John 2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." God wants you to prosper in every area, including financially.
The Word of God is the Will of God on Paper. You The Word of God is the Will of God on Paper.

You cannot live beyond what you believe, and you cannot believe beyond what you
know. The reason many believers struggle financially is not because God doesn't want them to prosper—it's because they don't know what God's Word actually says about prosperity. They've been influenced by religious tradition instead of biblical revelation.

How this applies to you:

-- Make a personal commitment to study what God's Word actually says about money and His will for you to prosper. Don't just accept what you've been taught. Study it for yourself. Over 2,000 verses in the Bible deal with money and possessions. Jesus taught more about money than about heaven and hell combined. This means financial prosperity is not a side issue to God. It's a major theme throughout His Word.

-- Challenge every belief you have about money against the Word of God. If your beliefs about money don't line up with Scripture, your beliefs are wrong, not the Scripture. Many people have more faith in their poverty than they do in God's Word about prosperity. The Word of God is the final authority on every subject, including finances.

-- Understand that religious tradition often contradicts biblical truth. Mark 7:13 says religious tradition can make "the word of God of no effect." Many churches teach poverty as spirituality, but the Bible teaches that "the blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:22).

-- Get into systematic Bible study about God's financial principles. Don't just read one verse here and there. Study entire passages. Read books. Listen to solid biblical teaching. Invest the same energy in learning God's financial principles that you would invest in learning any other important skill.

-- Remember that ignorance of God's Word keeps you in bondage. Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
