Speaking What God Has Spoken Over You! (Part 2)

by Rick

Today we continue to teach on our overall theme for the year: “GREAT FREEDOM.”  In this series, we have studied 2 Corinthians 3 and 4.  Last week we got to 2 Corinthians 4:13. I have been stuck on this verse.  The Holy Spirit won’t allow me to move forward. Let’s go back to it today.

(2 Corinthians 4:13 NKJV)

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.

We have been looking at the amazing story of the virgin Mary.  Let’s go back to this story today. I will continue to teach on this thought: Speaking what God has spoken over you!

So what does this mean for you today?  A few things.

1.  You will never maximize what you do not understand.

a)  Once you have an understanding of a WORD from God, you can then apply it, leverage it, and benefit from it.  But until you have an understanding, it may be hard for the Word to make an impact in your life.

b)  When the Angel first told Mary that she had found favor in God’s eyes, that she would have a son, and that His name would be Jesus, the Word did not impact her, because she did not understand how or why this was happening.  She could not SEE it.

c)  If you don’t understand it, or if you can’t SEE it, then you won’t have it.  You will never BE what you cannot SEE.

d)  We must all strive to get to a place of understanding.  Thankfully, the Angel told Mary about her cousin Elizabeth.  Once he did, Mary was able to SEE it in her heart, and then open her heart to believe what God said.  This is the role of your Pastor and the Holy Spirit. There are things God will speak over your life that you do not understand at first.  But the more time you spend with the Holy Spirit, and the more time you spend receiving Biblical teaching, the more what God has spoken will become clear.  When the Word became clear to Mary, it changed her life. The Word will do the same for you, once you can understand it and apply it!

2.  Once you can SEE It, you still have to BELIEVE it!

a)  Once Mary understood that God was telling her that she would get pregnant by His Spirit, without ever having sex, she still had to believe it.

b)  Jesus said, “Everything is possible for Him who believes.” (Mark 9:23).  If God reveals it to you and you believe it, then it is possible for you.  At that point, the impossible becomes possible. However, if God reveals it to you and you DO NOT believe it, then it is NOT possible for you.  It’s not that it is NOT possible. It’s just NOT possible FOR YOU, because you DO NOT believe!

c)  Belief is the precursor to faith.  If you do not believe something is possible, you will never release your faith for it!

d)  When God reveals something to you about your future — something that He planned to do in your life before the world began — your job is to believe it, no matter how impossible it seems.  You don’t have to make it happen. God will make it happen. Your job is to believe it!

e)  A virgin getting pregnant was impossible.  But Mary believed it. She could not do it.  Her job was NOT to make it happen. She believed God and God made it happen!  It’s the same with you. God will reveal things to you that He planned to do in your life.  When He does, these things may seem impossible, or at least far beyond your wildest dreams. If you cannot believe these things, then you will never RECEIVE the manifestation of them.  But if you can believe it, then you open the door to RECEIVE it!

f)  THE LIFE OF GRACE is about the IMPOSSIBLE becoming POSSIBLE for us because we RECEIVED A WORD from God and we BELIEVED IT!

*** Once you believe it, you cannot be moved by what you see (in this world).

*** You can only be moved by what God said!

3.  Once you can BELIVE it and SEE It, you still have to SAY it!

a)  You are not on heaven’s page until you are in living in sync with God’s Word — with the Word He spoke over your life!

b)  God was telling her ONE THING!  Her body was telling her something else!

— Stop looking at your problem!

— Look at what God SAID!

*** Remember, No Word is without the ability to perform it!

c)  God was calling those things that WERE NOT… as though they were!

— God was CALLING HER INTO HER FUTURE from HER PRESENT.

— God was speaking her TO BE STAGE from her RIGHT NOW STAGE!

— God gave her an EXAMPLE she could RELATE TO!

Then God said… NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME!

So Mary had two choices:

  1. Do I choose what God is telling me… even though IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE?
  2. Or do I choose what makes sense (what I can SEE) in this world?

Faith is a CHOICE!

Faith chooses to ACCEPT, BELIEVE and ATTEMPT what God said… even though it is IMPOSSIBLE in the natural.

Once Mary could SEE HERSELF the way God was seeing her, she chose to SPEAK what God had SPOKEN over her life!

In Luke 1:38 she said, “I am God’s servant.  I align my lips with what God is saying.  Lord, BE IT UNTO ME, according to what You have spoken!”

*** At that moment she got pregnant!  She believed and she spoke (2 Cor 4:13).

d)  Faith is VOICE-ACTIVATED!  Learn from Mary and live with this attitude:

I will OPEN MY MOUTH and SAY what God has SAID about me!

I will TAKE GOD PUBLIC!

And I will NOT BE MOVED by what I SEE in the natural!

I will SAY what God said and I will NEVER ALLOW what I SEE to cause me to CHANGE WHAT I SAID!

e)  God has SPOKEN some things over you.

— About your health.

— About your children.

— About your business.

— About your career.

— About your finances.

— About your future.

*** The POWER IN THE WORD God SPOKE  will NOT be RELEASED in your LIFE until you OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH and AGREE WITH GOD!

You think you are waiting on God…

But God already SPOKE!

Have you released YOUR FAITH?

Faith is VOICE-ACTIVATED!

Open your mouth and DECLARE WHAT GOD HAS DECREED over you!

That’s enough for today.

Declaration of Faith

Father, You made plans for me before the world began.  You now reveal those plans to me by Your Spirit. The things the Holy Spirit reveals to me seem beyond my wildest dreams.  Sometimes they even seem impossible. But the impossible is possible for me. Because I am a believer. I can SEE what You reveal.  I believe these things in my heart. And I am willing to OPENLY declare what You have decreed over me. Faith is VOICE-ACTIVATED. I open up my MOUTH and I SAY what You have SAID!  Living this way, I know I will HAVE what You have REVEALED before I die! I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word.  Apply it and prosper!
