The Year of Laser Focus (Part 3): God’s Blueprint for Success: Embrace God’s Plan for 2024

by Rick

Today, we continue our series entitled “Laser Focus,” with the point being that we should live with a Laser Focus on the Fixed Purpose God established for us before the world began.

God’s purpose for your life is set and established. God set it before you were born. What you must do, as a child of God, is FIND, FOLLOW, and ultimately FINISH that purpose before you die. The messages I will provide you this year will flow in this vein. One scripture we will meditate on all year is the following:

(Proverbs 4:25 TPT)

Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.

In addition to Proverbs 4:25, I told you that I would give you 20 scriptures that drive home the importance of laser focus, which will also help lay a solid foundation for this year. I have shared 10 of those 20 thus far. We will look at five more today.

So, what does this mean to you today?   A few things.

1. God’s Plan for You Involves Hope and Prosperity.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

– The more you meditate on God’s plans for your life, the more you will develop confidence in God’s goodness.

– Our God is a good God who made good plans for us.

– Prosperity and hope are not mere wishes but divine assurances from God.

– When facing challenges, you can find peace and strength in knowing that God has a plan for your life, including your welfare and success.

– Part of living by faith involves making decisions in the present based on the bright future God has promised, fostering a lifestyle of hope and optimism.

– Hold onto this scripture as a personal prophecy, expecting God’s plans to unfold as you walk with Him.

2. The Certainty of God’s Word to Fulfill Purpose.

Isaiah 55:11 (ERV)

In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.

– You must develop a strong level of trust in the power of God’s Word. Believe that every Word from God is potent and purposeful, destined to accomplish what He intends.

– I lead you in Bible Declarations every day. If you believe in the irrevocable power of God’s Word, you will declare God’s Word over your life from a believing heart, fully persuaded that what He promised shall come to pass in your life.

– Use God’s word as your compass, leading you through life’s journey toward your purpose.

– As you attempt to live this year with laser focus, regularly engage with the scripture, allowing it to shape your thoughts, decisions, and actions.

3. God gives you the “Want To” and the “Can do” to Fulfill His Purpose.

Philippians 2:13 (ERV)

Yes, it is God who is working in you. He helps you want to do what pleases him, and he gives you the power to do it.

– As you attempt to live 2024 with laser focus, acknowledge that God is actively working in you, giving you both the desire and the ability to fulfill His purpose.

– Actively align your life with what you believe to be God’s divine intent.

– Seek to make a human alignment with your divine assignment.

– Embrace your role in God’s plan, collaborating with Him in every aspect of your life.

– Recognize and celebrate each step you take that aligns with God’s purpose, acknowledging His work in you.

4. Running the Race with Perseverance.

Hebrews 12:1 (ERV)

We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit.

– Identify and remove anything that distracts or hinders you from God’s purpose. Remember, Proverbs 4:25 says, “Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.”

– Be inspired by those who have persevered before you, using their example to inspire your own journey.

– Realize that your life is not a sprint. It is a marathon of faith. Fulfilling God’s purpose is a lifelong commitment requiring steadfastness and endurance.

– Staying the course! You have a unique course that has been laid out before you. The text tells you to run your race (with your grace, at your pace) and never quit!

5. The Unseen Wonders of God’s Plan.

1 Corinthians 2:9,10 (NLT)

9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

– Acknowledge that God’s plans are far beyond what we can see or imagine, inviting us to trust in His greater vision.

– Find joy in the mystery of God’s plans, knowing they are always for your ultimate good.

– Live in anticipation of the incredible things God has prepared, even though they are not yet revealed.

– Believe the Holy Spirit when He reveals God’s plan for your future to you. Have faith, even though it may be far greater than anything you ever imagined.
