Faith Refresher

by Rick

* You can now watch a video of this message at: https://new.livestream.com/rickpina/live.

This morning we will do something different.  The Today’s Word messages have been focused on grace for over a year and a half now.  Along with Today’s Word, most of my preaching has been on grace as well.  Yesterday the Lord allowed me to preach a message on faith and I had a wonderful time doing it.  It was like the Lord wanted our church to have a Faith Refresher.  We can all stand our faith to be refreshed and recharged from time to time.  In you want to watch the entire message, here is the link, I believe it will be a blessing to you:  http://goo.gl/1CM8V7.

For today’s message, I will share just a small portion of my notes from yesterday.  Enjoy.

What is Faith?

1.  Faith is time accessing eternity.

    • God is not in time.
    • God always speaks in the ETERNAL NOW!
    • Our PRESENT is Heaven’s PAST!

  • * By faith God allows you to see into eternity, from time, and agree with what you see, so it can manifest in your life in time.

2.  Faith is earth agreeing and accessing heaven.

    • God is in heaven, we are in the earth.
    • God has given the earth to mankind, to rule and reign down here (see Gen 1:26, 28; Psalm 115:16).
    • When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He prayed a prayer as an example.  In that prayer He said, “Our Father who art in heaven.”  Once again, God is in heaven and we are in the earth.  Jesus went on to say, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (see Mat 6).
    • Our prayer should bring heaven to the earth.

  • By faith God allows you to see into heaven, from the earth, and agree with what you see, so it can manifest here in the earth.

3.  Faith is the legal entrance to the realm of the invisible.

    • By faith God allows you to see what cannot be seen in the natural.

  • * Faith is the ability to see, agree with, and access the invisible (the unseen).

(2 Cor 4:18 KJV) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Same Verse: J. B. Phillips Translation

(2 Cor 4:18 Phillips)  For we are looking, all the time, NOT at the visible things BUT at the invisible. The visible things are transitory: it is the invisible things that are really permanent.

Say,

“By Faith I can see into eternity.”

“By Faith I can see into heaven.”

“By Faith I Can See the Invisible!”

“And whatever God allows me to see, He wants me involved in!”

Revelation is authorization for participation:

(John 5:19 NLT)  So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

  • Jesus sought guidance (insight, revelation and understanding) from the Father.
    • The Father then revealed to Jesus what He wanted to do, for that day, or in that season, and Jesus was then able to participate in it.
    • Instead of doing something and then asking God to bless it, God wants you to ask Him reveal to you what He is already doing and what He is already blessing.

  • Once He reveals it to you, you are then authorized to be part of it and the supernatural will be able to flow through you.

* By Grace it is already yours.

* By Faith you find out about it.

* By Faith you can then access it.

Closing Confession:  Father, I thank You for loving me enough to meet me at my level of faith.  You expect me to live by faith and You will never expect me to do what You have not already equipped me to do.  You dealt to me THE measure of faith and as I walk with You I am able to grow and develop my faith.  I have faith that is grown when You allow me to see Your hand at work, here in the earth.  I have faith that is grown when I read Your Word.  I have faith that is grown when I hear Your voice.  And Father, I can say by faith, that my faith is wholeheartedly settled IN YOU.  I HAVE FAITH IN GOD.  By faith You enable me to see, from time, into eternity.  You are not in time and You speak to me from the state of the ETERNAL NOW.  In eternity my future is Your past.  As You reveal things to me, that are past to You, but future to me, I believe them by faith and I know they will come to pass in my life.  For You, it’s already done.  For me, it’s only a matter of time!  By faith You allow me to see, from the earth, into heaven.  You are in heaven and I am in the earth.  You desire is that we manifest heaven on the earth.  By faith You allow me to see what You want to manifest in my life, and by faith I pursue it.  And finally Father, by faith You allow me to see in the invisible, so that You can accomplish the impossible through me.  All things are possible for me, because I believe.  I walk and live by faith every second of every day, and You are able to accomplish Your Kingdom plans and purposes through me, for Your glory.  I declare this by faith.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
This is Today’s Word!  Apply it and Prosper.
